Wizard
• Build and ship user-facing features and applications that drive core product experiences for merchants and customers • Own features end-to-end across frontend (React) and backend (Node.js / TypeScript) • Collaborate closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to translate ambiguous ideas into high-quality user experiences • Design and implement scalable APIs and services that support product functionality • Contribute to frontend architecture and component systems to enable fast, consistent development • Drive experimentation and iteration, including A/B testing and rapid prototyping • Participate in technical design discussions, making thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, quality, and scalability • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code • Improve application performance, usability, and reliability across the product surface • Contribute to team best practices through code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions
Job Requirements
- 4–6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience building full-stack applications using Node.js / TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
- Experience building user-facing products with a focus on performance and usability
- Familiarity with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Experience working with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases
- Solid understanding of web application architecture and system design
- Experience collaborating closely with product and design teams
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs is a plus
- Exposure to ecommerce or marketplace products (e.g., Shopify) is a plus
