About the Team Zoom DevOps Engineers ensure seamless functionality and continuous availability to deliver an exceptional user experience. Responsibilities include building and deploying Zoom UCaaS and CCaaS services, managing cloud infrastructure, and developing automation to minimize manual tasks. The role involves on-call ownership for assigned services. Required expertise includes SBC knowledge, VOIP skills, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, OCI, Git, CICD, Terraform, Redis, Python, ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus. Responsibilities - Managing and supporting Session Border Controller infrastructure and associated systems to ensure seamless operation and reliability. - Automating deployment and configuration of VoIP systems using CI/CD pipelines while managing VoIP infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform or Ansible for consistency. - Monitoring and optimizing the performance and reliability of VoIP systems, including implementing automated evaluations to assess audio quality and operational performance. - Managing containerized Voice over IP applications using Docker and Kubernetes platforms. - Ensuring high availability, disaster recovery processes, and overall resilience for voice-related services. - Collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration, effective communication, and prompt troubleshooting and resolution of issues within VoIP infrastructure systems. What we’re looking for - 3+ years of relevant experience, with a Bachelor's / Master's degree. - Plan, design, develop, and test VOIP software systems or applications for enhancements and new products, including cloud-based or internet-focused tools. - Apply organizational policies and procedures to address and resolve various issues while developing professional expertise. - Evaluate problems of moderate scope by reviewing multiple factors and assessing data or situations to identify suitable solutions. - Apply judgment within established procedures and practices to identify the appropriate course of action. - Foster effective working relationships both internally and externally. - Receive general instructions for routine tasks and detailed guidance for new projects or assignments. • Further development and optimization of our platform (frontend & backend) • Integration and development of APIs and interfaces • Responsibility for deployments, server architecture, and updates • Design and maintenance of scalable system architectures • Performance optimization and troubleshooting

• Design and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Cloudflare. • Build CI/CD pipelines for safe, zero-downtime production deployments. • Improve monitoring and alerting to speed up incident response and recovery. • Manage all environments using modular, version-controlled Terraform (IaC). • Drive cost optimization, security hardening, and performance tuning. • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align tech with business goals. • Provide technical direction and contribute to major architectural decisions.

• Shared responsibility for system availability: You will actively contribute to the availability, reliability and efficiency of our complex system architecture, which comprises around 70 servers hosted at Hetzner. • Maintenance and automation: You will support the maintenance and automation of our existing infrastructure, which is based on technologies such as Ubuntu, Percona MySQL Cluster, MinIO, Elasticsearch, Redis, NGINX, HAProxy, TiDB, ClickHouse and Kubernetes. • Monitoring and analysis: You will improve our monitoring strategies and perform comprehensive incident and root-cause analyses. • High availability: You must be prepared, in exceptional cases, to respond outside normal hours (including at night) to ensure our systems run smoothly. • Software development: Several years of experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Rust, Java, Go, TypeScript) is required.
