Role Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Background & Reference Checker to support our recruitment team. This role will be responsible for conducting thorough background and reference checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of candidate information. - Conduct various types of background checks including: - Character and personal references - Employment (HR) verification - Coordinate directly with nominated referees via phone, email, or other channels to validate candidate information - Collect and verify supporting documents such as criminal records (if required) - Ensure all references are credible and properly validated (e.g., avoiding conflicts of interest such as family members as referees) - Compile clear, concise, and well-structured reports for internal stakeholders - Follow up with candidates post-placement for additional verification requirements (e.g., LinkedIn profile validation) - Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of all candidate information - Work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to meet required turnaround times Qualifications - Previous experience in recruitment, background checking, HR, or administrative support is preferred - Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset - Good communication skills (written and verbal) - Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality - Strong organizational and time management skills - Comfortable making outbound calls if needed and conducting verification checks - Familiarity with Recruitment tools and LinkedIn is a nice to have - Fast response time and report turnaround (Ideally PH working hours 8AM-5PM, Weekdays) Requirements - Philippines-based candidates - Compensation range: Indicate your expected compensation - Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement - Work Schedule: Flexible, up to 20 hours/week Benefits - Flexible, part-time arrangement - Opportunity to shape and improve internal processes - Work closely with a growing and dynamic recruitment team
