Senior Director, Software Engineering
Evolent
• Provide strategic leadership and technical direction for Evolent’s software engineering organization. • Oversee modernization efforts, unify legacy platforms, and drive adoption of scalable solutions. • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and business teams. • Foster a culture of quality, customer obsession, product mindset, and technical excellence. • Develop a high-performing team that embraces learning, innovation, and accountability. • Drive modernization of platforms and processes to reduce complexity. • Engage stakeholders to understand business needs deeply and influence progress.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 12+ years in software engineering, with at least 7+ years in leadership roles managing large, distributed teams.
- Technical expertise in Python, Spark, API development, Data Warehousing concepts, ETL patterns, SQL.
- Deep understanding of cloud services and DevOps practices.
- Healthcare domain knowledge, especially with medical claims, is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional ability to engage stakeholders and influence decisions.
- Strong background in software engineering, architecture, and system integration is preferred.
