Job Description
Senior Technical Product Manager
Kinective
Description Lead the Way to Intelligent Banking with Us! You might not think about what happens behind the scenes when you check your bank balance or deposit a check from your phone, but we do. Every day. Kinective empowers banks and credit unions to move beyond keeping up with technology to shaping the future of banking. Our platform seamlessly connects the right tools, delivers real-time data, and drives smarter operations for more than 4,000 financial institutions nationwide. We are a fast-growing team built on individual ownership, company-wide collaboration, and setting industry-leading standards. Here, new ideas are encouraged, candid feedback is welcomed, and your growth truly matters as much as the company’s. At Kinective, we are leading the way to intelligent banking together and enjoying the journey along the way. Why This Role Matters We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead cross-platform initiatives that power multiple products across our ecosystem, including our banking platform and shared technology services. This role is responsible for driving foundational platform capabilities and shared technical services while also serving as one of our AI-native product leaders — helping define how AI accelerates both the products we build and how we build them. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth, systems thinking, and a builder’s mindset with the ability to operate across teams and influence engineering and product direction at scale. Approximately 30–40% of this role will focus on experimentation and delivery using emerging AI capabilities, including piloting new AI-powered product experiences and helping evolve an AI-focused software development lifecycle (SDLC). How We’ll Measure Your Success - Delivering a clear, actionable technical roadmap that supports product strategy, improves platform scalability, and reduces one-off custom work. - Establishing a repeatable third-party development program where partners can build and deliver integrations efficiently, consistently, and with minimal engineering rework. - Elevating the technical business analysis function by improving data-mapping quality, documentation standards, tooling, and throughput, resulting in faster and more reliable integration delivery. - Accelerating complex sales cycles through technical expertise, reusable solution artifacts, and improved clarity around integration patterns, data availability, and feasibility. - Strengthening alignment across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams through clear technical requirements, shared integration standards, and improved collaboration - Expanding the breadth and quality of supported integrations across Data Intelligence and Digital Connectivity while maintaining rigorous technical, security, and performance standards. Success here isn’t about checking boxes – it’s about propelling Kinective’s mission to lead the way to intelligent banking. You must bring excellence to your craft, balance resourcefulness with respect, share and celebrate unique expertise and diverse perspectives, and continuously raise the bar as we innovate and grow. What you’ll own: Platform Strategy & Execution - Define and lead platform initiatives that enable scalability, interoperability, and faster product delivery across multiple product lines. - Partner with engineering and architecture leaders to identify shared services and platform investments that reduce duplication and improve system cohesion. - Own roadmap definition and prioritization for cross-product platform capabilities. - Translate technical platform investments into measurable customer and business outcomes. Banking Operations Platform & Ecosystem Enablement - Help define and deliver a unified operational platform that connects capabilities across our banking products and bridging the gap between product lines. - Identify and drive development of shared services and reusable components that improve consistency and scalability across product lines. - Partner with product and engineering teams to implement and adopt common platform capabilities. - Promote standardized workflows and services that reduce fragmentation while enabling product team velocity. AI-Native Product Development (30–40%) - Act as a leader in adopting AI-assisted product development practices across teams. - Partner with engineering to prototype and launch AI-enabled features, processes, and workflows. - Help define and operationalize an AI-focused SDLC emphasizing rapid experimentation, validation, and iteration. - Evaluate emerging AI tooling and identify opportunities to improve developer productivity and product innovation. - Support teams in responsibly incorporating AI capabilities into customer-facing experiences and products. Cross-Organizational Leadership - Drive alignment across product, engineering, data, and go-to-market teams. - Lead complex initiatives spanning multiple teams without direct authority. - Break down ambiguous opportunities into clear execution plans. - Establish success metrics and continuously measure platform and AI initiative outcomes. Requirements Necessary Qualifications: - 6+ years of product management experience, including technical or platform-focused products. - Strong technical fluency working with APIs, distributed systems, integrations, and data platforms. - Experience leading cross-team or platform initiatives impacting multiple products and technical domains. - Demonstrated ability to partner deeply with engineering and architecture organizations, drive product and engineering alignment, and successfully delivering common services across product lines. - Experience operating in modern agile or iterative development environments. - Strong experimentation mindset and interest in applying AI to product development and delivery. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. What you’re great at: - Platform & Systems Thinking - Ability to understand complex product ecosystems and define shared services and platform capabilities that scale across multiple products and teams. - Technical Fluency - Comfortable partnering deeply with engineering on APIs, integrations, data flows, and architectural tradeoffs, translating technical complexity into clear product direction. - AI-Native Product Development - Demonstrates curiosity and practical experimentation with AI technologies, applying them to both customer-facing features and evolving modern development practices. - Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence - Proven ability to lead initiatives across product lines and organizations without direct authority, driving alignment among product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders. - Execution in Ambiguous Environments - Skilled at turning complex, evolving opportunities into clear roadmaps, experiments, and deliverables while balancing platform investments with product velocity. - Strategic Product Judgment - Connects platform and innovation investments to measurable customer and business outcomes while balancing standardization, scalability, and team autonomy. Pay, Benefits & Total Rewards $100,000 – $125,000 The salary range listed reflects the minimum and maximum for this role. Individual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, job-related skills, geographic location, and internal equity. Most offers are not made at or near the top of the range. Base pay is one component of Kinective’s Total Rewards package. Depending on the role, employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission plans, or equity. All employees receive access to a competitive benefits package designed to support health, well-being, and financial security, including: - Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision, prescriptions, life & disability) - Flexible PTO, 11 company holidays, and generous parental & caregiver leave - An immediately-vested 401(k) plan with company contributions - Wellness resources and professional development opportunities - And it doesn't end there...
