Database Developer

PSI CRO AG

• Analyze detailed technical specifications, documented requirements, and business rules to determine appropriate data solutions. • Design and maintain robust logical and physical data models that support enterprise analytics, reporting, and operational data needs. • Develop and maintain complex database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions. • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple source systems. • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems by validating transformations and outputs against defined requirements. • Provide technical guidance related to database development, data modeling, and ETL design. • Support the promotion of database and ETL changes through development, testing, and production environments.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a database development role (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
  • Expert-level SQL development including complex joins, window functions, subqueries, and query optimization.
  • Strong experience designing logical and physical data models that support enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Extensive experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines and data transformation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data relationships and business logic.
  • Ability to analyze system behavior, identify root causes of data issues, and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Experience improving database and ETL performance through indexing strategies, query optimization, and efficient data structures.
  • Ability to clearly document data models, ETL processes, technical logic, and system dependencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Confident in gathering and translating requirements from technical and business stakeholders
  • Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and reliability.
