SUPERVISOR BUS CONTINUITY/OPRTNL RESILIENCE WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Business Continuity & Operational Resilience Supervisor will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive business continuity (BC) and operational resilience (OR) programs to ensure compliance with FFIEC guidelines and safeguard the organization's critical operations. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, design mitigation strategies, and ensure readiness to respond to disruptions while aligning with regulatory expectations. Must have a track record of results in building programs and leading through change. This role will manage and lead a team, while educating, informing and influencing leaders of all businesses at City National Bank. WHAT WILL YOU DO? - Develop, build and lead Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience and/or Crisis Management teams and staff, establishing frameworks suitable for ensuring the resilience of the Bank’s critical processes and services - Report on the progress of the program to appropriate management committees - Create and maintain effective partnerships with leaders and teams across IT, Cyber and Disaster Recovery to ensure all areas of Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience and Crisis Management are managed appropriately - Actively solve for opportunities to streamline Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and Crisis Management processes - Drives the socialization, adoption, consistent and appropriate implementation, and ongoing maintenance of policies, standards, methods, etc. across the bank - Create better data, information and process improvement solutions to improve efficacy of the Bank’s Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and Crisis Management program - Improve planning and execution of the bank’s Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and Crisis Management program activities - Manage metrics to assess and escalate risk, as well as the performance of the program - Regularly update procedures that align with Policy and Standard requirements[WK2.1] - Assess the areas under this role’s purview for efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities - Ensure program roles and responsibilities, timelines, and requirements are clear - Coordinate and review First Line of Defense (FLoD) core activities inclusive of gap assessments, risk measurement, appropriateness of mitigation strategies, and material risk identification. - Monitor and report issues and exceptions, spotting trends and/or pervasive risks - Acts as an advocate towards the front line business units ensuring business buy-in and facilitating integration of second line policies, standards, and minimum requirements. - Aid in Board and management reporting - Perform awareness training relating to program activities and risk management, including new and changing policies, systems, and methodologies - Assess resilience risks and policy/standard/procedure compliance relating to controls design, FLoD testing processes, FLoD testing results and sample based testing - Provide support for internal audits and regulatory exams - Understand and apply internal policies/procedures, laws and regulations and managing to regulatory requirements including but not limited to: FFIEC, OCC, FINRA, Federal Reserve WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications* - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent - Minimum 7 years of experience leading and managing Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience, and/or Crisis Management programs - Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services Additional Qualifications - Demonstrated strong skills in applying Business Continuity Management and Operational Resilience planning principles to various levels (staff, management and executive) of the company. - Able to effectively interact with peers, subordinates, internal and external customers and vendors. - Excellent, analytical, problem solving, communication, and prioritization skills - Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate individuals and teams. - Advanced presentation skills and oral and written communication skills - Excellent project management skills, which include task identification, project planning, and ability to understand scope of recovery efforts, ability to coordinate critical activities during continuity exercises and events, and proficiency with tools required to pull project together. - Proven ability to identify opportunities to automate or standardize and challenge current thought processes, norms or status quo - Strong knowledge of Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience and Crisis Management regulatory guidance for US financial institutions - Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate with senior management - Strong understanding of operations and technology in a financial service environment and how to apply operational resilience concepts - Ability to consistently provide superior independent judgement with demonstrated analytical and risk assessment skills - Ability to leverage data and reporting to inform decision-making and drive changes, including the ability to evaluate the usefulness of data and use it in meaningful communication - Strong presentation skills and ability to adjust message and filter details based on audience - Self-motivated, able to bring projects and reporting to conclusion - Remain current on the trends and best practices for Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience and Crisis Management - Fully proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including (but not limited to) Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint - Licenses, Certifications and Professional Affiliations: Certified Business Continuity Professional, Certified Emergency Manager, or equivalent certification preferred WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Summary The Gainwell Systems Manager is a strategic, technical, and operational leader accountable for the performance, availability, modernization, and delivery of all systems supporting the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and related enterprise services.
