Description If you’re a creative storyteller who loves using design, social media, and digital content to inspire people, this might be your next great fit. Camp Paradise isn’t your typical ministry setting. Nestled in the remote north woods of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, it’s a place where distractions fade and meaningful connections take root. Through experiences like Dads Camp (father-child retreats) and Women’s Retreat, we create space for people to grow spiritually and relationally—immersed in the beauty of God’s creation and life-changing community. Think canoeing and kayaking, swimming, high adventure courses, archery, evening campfires, and more. Now, we’re looking for someone to help tell people about the mission and impact of Camp Paradise. What You’ll Get to Do In this part-time role (about 20 hours/week and $22-$27/hr), you’ll bring the Camp Paradise story to life through compelling, on-brand content that connects with campers, families, volunteers, and donors. - Create and manage engaging social media content—from planning and writing to designing and scheduling - Design digital and print materials like flyers, signage, email graphics, and slides - Capture and curate photos and video from camp sessions and events - Help keep the Camp Paradise website fresh, clear, and visually engaging - Support marketing campaigns for summer sessions, registration, and ministry initiatives - Collaborate with ministry leaders to translate ideas into meaningful, creative communication - This role is mostly remote and flexible, with occasional opportunities to be on-site during camp sessions or events to gather content and support experiences. What Success Looks Like You’re winning in this role when: - Camp Paradise communication is clear, compelling, and consistent across every platform - Stories of life change and community are shared in ways that draw people in - Our brand feels unified, recognizable, and aligned with our mission - Content enhances strong engagement and participation year-round If you’re ready to use your creativity to tell stories that matter—and help the ministry of Camp Paradise create distraction-free spaces where lives are changed—we’d love to hear from you. Requirements What You Bring You don’t have to check every box—but here’s what will help you thrive: - Experience in graphic design and digital content creation (Adobe Creative Cloud is key) - A strong eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling - Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling - Basic WordPress skills for updating web content - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines - A collaborative, positive, and self-motivated approach - A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, along with 1–3 years of experience—and a portfolio that shows what you can do. Who You Are You’re creative and detail-oriented, but also flexible and team-focused. You enjoy working independently, but you also love collaborating to bring ideas to life. Most importantly, you’re excited about using your gifts to support a ministry that helps people encounter God in meaningful ways.
