Our values—innovation, customer obsession, ownership, radical candor, and excellence—guide how we build and support every deployment Role Overview Platform9 is seeking a Technical Training & Partner Enablement Specialist to join the Pre-Sales organization and help accelerate the creation of high-value technical enablement assets for internal teams, partners, and the field. This role will be responsible for building training content, partner-focused technical materials, and supporting go-to-market technical collateral that helps scale Platform9’s Private Cloud Director and related solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in technical training, curriculum development, content creation, and technical enablement, particularly in virtualization, infrastructure, private cloud, or adjacent enterprise technologies. The right candidate will be highly organized, an excellent communicator, comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, and capable of translating technical concepts into clear, consumable training and field-ready assets. This person will report directly to Peter Fray and work closely with Pre-Sales, Product, Engineering, Alliances, and partner teams. Key Responsibilities Training & Curriculum Development - Develop and deliver a comprehensive 8-part masterclass for Platform9 solutions based on existing curriculum direction and internal subject matter expertise. - Create technical training materials including: - lecture decks - lab guides - instructor notes - self-paced learning content - onboarding materials - technical walkthroughs and recorded modules - Build structured enablement programs for: - internal pre-sales teams - new hires - partner technical teams - field and support organizations as needed - Help define learning paths for introductory, intermediate, and advanced audiences. Partner Enablement - Develop partner-centric deep dive content covering integrations and joint solution positioning for strategic ecosystem partners, including: - Veeam - Rubrik - Cohesity - Pure Storage - Hitachi Vantara - NetApp - Omnissa - Work with partner, alliances, and technical teams to create training that enables partners to: - understand Platform9 solution value - position integrations effectively - support solution design and deployment discussions - participate in proofs of concept and technical discovery Field & GTM Technical Content - Help create technical go-to-market assets such as: - reference architectures - solution briefs - demo content - FAQs - competitive and objection-handling content - implementation and best-practice guidance - Package technical information into clear, reusable assets that can be consumed by the field, partners, and customers. - Support the pre-sales team in rapidly bringing technical collateral to market. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with Pre-Sales leadership, Product Management, Engineering, Alliances, Marketing, and SMEs to gather inputs and validate technical accuracy. - Drive a repeatable process for content review, stakeholder feedback, iteration, and publishing. - Help ensure training and collateral remain current as Platform9 products and partner integrations evolve. Required Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following: - technical training - curriculum development - technical enablement - technical content creation - systems engineering or infrastructure-focused education - Strong experience creating structured technical learning content for enterprise technologies. - Strong presentation, written communication, and instructional design skills. - Experience building content for technical audiences such as administrators, architects, support teams, or partners. - Ability to take complex technical concepts and convert them into practical, clear training and field-facing materials. - Experience working cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders. - Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in virtualization, private cloud, infrastructure software, or enterprise platform technologies. - Familiarity with VMware, hypervisors, cloud infrastructure, storage, backup/data protection, or adjacent enterprise infrastructure ecosystems. - Experience delivering partner enablement or technical training for channel or alliance organizations. - Exposure to Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes, or modern private cloud platforms. - Experience creating labs, demos, simulation-based learning, or hands-on workshop content. - Experience using modern content creation and training tools beyond standard presentation software.
