Job Overview As a Document Collection Specialist, you help veterans gather essential documents for their VA disability claims. You secure supporting statements and evidence from clients, follow strict timelines, and adhere precisely to standard operating procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Collaborate with intake and legal teams to identify and collect documents that strengthen VA disability claims. - Communicate with clients through phone, text, and email to obtain supporting statements and evidence. - Manage a high-volume workload, collect documents by deadlines, and follow timelines closely. - Follow SOPs precisely to ensure each step of the document collection process meets firm standards. - Use critical thinking to anticipate and overcome potential obstacles in the document gathering process. - Maintain accurate records and update databases to ensure full documentation for each client. - Track and analyze your performance metrics to improve efficiency and meet collection goals. JOB SUMMARY: Insurance Specialists are responsible for accurately identifying insurance claims denials and/or claims processing errors to resolve accounts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: - High School Diploma or equivalent - At least one year of physician and/or hospital AR experience preferred - Knowledge of UB04 claim forms, EOB’s and medical records preferred - At least one year of Epic experience preferred - Knowledge of basic computer functions - Ability to work effectively in a remote environment - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Basic mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, calculate percent, etc.) - Ability to analyze and interpret documents, contracts, notes, and other correspondence - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Organization skills with a strong attention to detail PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions as described.
