It has major operations all over the world and is part of the domestic defence capability of several nations Purpose of the Role The QA Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, design and execution of testing activities across software solutions, ensuring that features, configurations and integrations meet quality standards before deployment to customer environments. The role works closely with development and test teams to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested, fit for purpose and ready for operational use within mission-critical environments. This role will be supporting new customer implementations and new product delivery projects. Early Lifecycle Involvement - Engage from the requirements stage onwards to understand scope, expected behaviours and testability - Contribute to defining test scenarios based on requirements and agreed designs Test Environment Support - Support the definition and setup of test environments required for project delivery - Ensure environments are suitable for planned test activities Test Design & Execution - Create and maintain test scripts at both: - Project level (based on requirements and agreed designs) - Sprint and feature level during development - Execute testing throughout the development lifecycle, including sprint testing Regression Testing - Create and maintain regression test suites - Execute regression testing regularly throughout the development phase to ensure system stability Formal Test Phases - Prepare and execute test suites for formal test phases, including FAT, SIT, SAT, UAT and BCDR - Reuse and adapt existing test packs where appropriate and create additional tests where required By submitting an application to Saab UK you consent to undertaking workforce screening activities that may include but are not limited to: Baseline Personnel Security checks, National Security Vetting, reference checks, verification of working rights and in all circumstances preferred candidates will be placed through a security interview.
