Role Description The Lead, Data Operations – Local TV Domain Expert will play a critical role in shaping and operationalizing VideoAmp's local measurement capabilities. This role owns the design, execution, and quality assurance of complex local TV workflows, supporting emerging opportunities in local station-level measurement and unwired aggregation. This is a hands-on, domain-driven role sitting at the intersection of Data Operations, Data Science, Product, and Engineering. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in local broadcast data — including affiliate structures, as-run logs, and station-level variability — and can translate that knowledge into scalable operational processes. This role will be central to evaluating and enabling new local measurement capabilities, including affiliate roll-ups, log-level integrations, and near currency-grade outputs. What You'll Do - Own end-to-end operational design and execution for local TV measurement workflows, including station-level data, affiliate roll-ups, and market-specific nuances. - Define and implement QA frameworks for local data, including anomaly detection, gap identification (e.g. missing affiliates), and reconciliation of logs and schedules. - Partner with Product and Data Science to translate ambiguous local measurement requirements into operational workflows and data specifications. - Evaluate feasibility and operational impact of local measurement capabilities across different tiers (e.g. baseline, unwired aggregation, log-level integration). - Lead ingestion and validation strategies for local data sources, including as-run logs, affiliate broadcast schedules, and third-party integrations (e.g. WideOrbit, Strata). - Identify and resolve edge cases related to local market variability, including timezone differences, affiliate deviations, and inconsistent metadata across markets. - Support development of data delivery mechanisms such as Snowflake shares and clean room integrations for local datasets. - Serve as a domain expert and escalation point for local data issues, providing clear root cause analysis and prevention strategies. - Contribute to automation and tooling efforts to support QA, monitoring, and operational scalability of local workflows. - Partner with cross-functional teams including Revenue and Client Services to ensure operational readiness and credibility with external partners. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in Data Operations, Data Engineering, Analytics, Account Management, or related roles, with strong exposure to local TV or broadcast measurement. - Deep familiarity with local broadcast ecosystems, including affiliates, station-level reporting, and market structures. - Experience working with as-run logs, broadcast schedules, or ad verification datasets. - Familiarity with media measurement concepts such as ratings, reach, frequency, and demographic segmentation. - Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams. - Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on system-level thinking and long-term solutions. - Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements. - Clear communicator who can translate complex operational issues into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Experience designing or supporting QA frameworks for complex data pipelines, including anomaly detection and reconciliation. - Strong SQL proficiency and experience working in large-scale data environments preferred (e.g. Snowflake or similar). Compensation & Benefits - Base Salary: $184,000 – $215,000 (commensurate with experience) - Equity participation included - Discretionary & flexible PTO + Spring, Summer & Winter company breaks - Inclusive and comprehensive medical, dental & vision - 401(k) with matching · HSA & FSA - Paid Maternity & Parental Leave for all family additions - Cell phone & wifi reimbursement · Commuter benefits Our Values - One VideoAmp: We win together.
