Position Purpose: Responsible for accounting and management reporting for Missouri and South Carolina health plans commercial business. In this Assistant Plan Controller role, you will: - Own functional area of brokerage and member incentives within commercial accounting for all markets. - Assist with the preparation of monthly financial analyses of operations for guidance of management - Assist with the preparation of reports which outline the health plan’s financial position in areas of revenue, expenses, G&A and earnings. Assist with the preparation of statutory reports - Assist with the monitoring of business processes and systems to assure integrity in health plan financial reports and information and in systems of internal accounting control in compliance with GAAP and SSAP and Company policies and standards - Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts - Assist in the arrangement of audits of the health plan’s accounts - Provide financial and business analysis as required Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree preferred. 4+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in public accounting or healthcare industry. License/Certification: CPA preferred. Highly preferred: Health plan or healthcare industry experience, with strong proficiency in GAAP accounting, data analysis, and advanced Excel. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
