District Manager of Sales

Role Description The District Manager of Sales will serve as a strategic business partner and subject matter expert on catering and event sales within their assigned region. This role involves leading teams directly and indirectly by developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to meet sales goals. Qualifications - Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of an organization. - Expert leadership skills with an understanding of the importance of team building/development, while fostering partnerships. - Exceptional problem solving/decision making skills combined with the ability to be organized. - Demonstrates financial management, analytical, and planning skills. - Demonstrates the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment. - Computer knowledge and skill level for basic office functions. - Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed. - Minimum 8 years catering and/or event sales, operations and/or event planning management in off-site catering, hotel or cultural attraction catering venue preferred. - A minimum of 8 years of experience is required; however, candidates with 10 or more years of experience will be given stronger consideration. - Minimum 3 years in a catering leadership position, preferably leading direct reports. - Working knowledge of Tripleseat is a plus. - All education backgrounds are eligible. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Requirements - Lead and mentor catering and event sales team members across the assigned vertical. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to ensure high standards. - Onboard and train new Catering & Event Sales Directors/Managers. - Plan and direct the hiring and training of new sales leaders in the unit. - Collaborate with General Managers on performance evaluations and corrective plans when needed. - Develop and implement business strategies for revenue growth. - Develop and implement training programs to motivate and mentor employees. - Focus on removing barriers and empowering growth and opportunity for team members at all levels. - Conduct regular meetings with individual units to align goals and strategies. - Set individual sales targets and track progress. - Ensure all catering locations within the region meet company standards. - Set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. - Collaborate with other SSA departments to coordinate catering activities and support company-wide initiatives. - Build and maintain relationships with internal clients and in-unit teams. - Report weekly and monthly sales through Tripleseat to appropriate stakeholders. - Analyze sales trends and client feedback to identify opportunities for improvement. - Use data to adjust sales strategies and increase conversion rate. - Drive innovation by establishing and implementing best practices. - Promote sustainability and conservation efforts within the team. - Engage in community efforts and drive initiatives that give back to the community. - Promote an inclusive and supportive approach within the unit. - Lead by example through Sustainability/Conservation efforts; display knowledge of efforts in business application. - Engage with SSA/Unit in driving community effort through engagement activities and focus on opportunities of giving back. - Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.
