• Lead the technical direction and architecture of Samsara’s Cloud Governance Platform, spanning cloud IAM, security controls, compliance enforcement, and software supply-chain security • Define and own the roadmap and long-term vision for governance and security platforms across AWS and GCP • Drive compliance through engineering, translating regulatory frameworks into automated, continuously enforced controls • Own software supply-chain security initiatives, including SAST, DAST, and secure CI/CD patterns • Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, and Product Engineering to solve complex, cross-functional risk and governance challenges • Mentor engineers across teams and contribute to a strong engineering culture through technical guidance and example • Communicate architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as the organization scales

• Build and ship AI agents that serve real users: tool-calling LLM systems with structured output, parallel API orchestration, and streaming responses. • Design evaluation harnesses and quality scoring — we use Langfuse, rubrics to measure safety, effectiveness, and personalization. • Own the full loop: prototype a new agent capability, validate it with evals, deploy it to staging and production, monitor traces, and iterate. • Improve reliability, latency, and cost through prompt caching strategies, token budgets, retry logic, and observability. • Write the tools agents use: API integrations with Pydantic validation, exercise search over local databases, structured workout submission.

How you'll have impact ● Architect a New Suite: You will be pivotal in building a brand-new product suite that spans multiple internal products and companies, tackling challenges in scalability, reusability (Monorepo), and multi-tenancy. ● Own the Full Vertical: You won’t just hand off APIs. You’ll design resilient backend services (Node.js/Kotlin) and consume them in rich, AI-native UIs (Next.js/React). ● Build AI-Native Experiences: From backend agents using LangChain to streaming generative UIs with the Vercel AI SDK, you will bring AI into the core of the user experience. ● Drive Engineering Excellence: Your input on architecture is expected. You’ll champion Domain-Driven Design (DDD), clean code, and performance optimization across the entire stack. What you'll do ● Ship end-to-end features using TypeScript (Node.js/Next.js), while maintaining or integrating with services in Kotlin/Java. Craft modern frontends with React, Tailwind, and Vercel AI SDK, managing complex state with TanStack Query and Zustand. ● Engineer AI agents and workflows (LangChain, MCP) that integrate retrieval, memory, and tool use. ● Own your infrastructure: manage deployments using Terraform (IaC) on AWS/Kubernetes and handle Vercel configurations for the frontend. ● Obsess over quality: Maintain high confidence with Playwright (E2E) and Kotest/Jest/Vitest (Unit), and continuously tune performance (latency, Core Web Vitals). ● Leverage AI tooling (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) to accelerate development and share workflows with the team. Requisitos ● 6+ years building production software. ● True Fullstack Fluency: Deep expertise in TypeScript (React/Node.js) is a must. Familiarity with Kotlin or Java is highly valued. ● Cloud Native: Proven experience running containerized workloads in AWS, Kubernetes, or serverless environments. ● Data Polyglot: Comfortable with both relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis). ● Architectural Eye: You understand DDD and distributed systems patterns, not just syntax. ● Communication: You communicate clearly in Spanish / English and thrive on feedback loops.
