About the role Human Interest is looking for a financial operations associate to provide support on the Human Interest 401(k) plan and serve as a subject matter expert in outgoing money movement, working closely with our Operations, Technology, and Customer Success teams to drive efficiencies and improve the experience across all Human Interest customers. About the team The Benefits Processing Associate, who reports to the Benefits Processing Operations Manager, is responsible for the daily processing of a diverse range of client 401(k) requests. This position entails executing outgoing operational transactions for Human Interest 401(k) plans, which includes comprehensive investigation of client information under high-pressure circumstances, while ensuring punctual processing. Given access to sensitive employee data across a substantial number of 401(k) plans, the ideal candidate will exhibit the utmost confidentiality, discretion, and stewardship. What you get to do every day - Ensure the the Human Interest 401(k) plan operates seamlessly and complies with all SLAs and regulatory guidelines relating to money movement including, but not limited to: - Distribution Trading and Review - Roll-ins - Loans - Stale Disbursement Checks - 1099-R Corrections - Portfolio Rebalancing - Money Movement Escalations - Partner with our front-office teams in answering employee requests and questions about the Human Interest 401(k) plan, and ensure that all response and resolution SLAs are met - Conceptualize and implement process efficiencies in partnership with product team to improve the 401(k) servicing processes and opportunities - Use discretion and advanced knowledge of Human Interest systems and 401(k) regulation to problem-solve complex issues - Respond to potentially complex escalating 401(k) service issues - Implement and maintain privacy processes and trainings to ensure discreet processing including but not limited to - HIPAA - Fiduciary Training - Serve as a resource to support the broader Financial Operations team with operational processing, program management, and business analysis. Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the U.S. The base salary for this position spans $20.67 - $24.32 per hour and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the U.S., their relevant job-related skills, and experience.
