Job Description

Industry Experts (Freelance)

MasterStart

This is a remote position. We are seeking exceptional Industry Experts who do far more than deliver content- they ignite thinking, challenge perspectives, and create transformative learning experiences. In this role, you will not act as a traditional lecturer or facilitator, but as a catalyst for growth: provoking insight, fostering meaningful dialogue, and guiding professionals to apply learning in real-world contexts. You will bring your lived industry experience into dynamic, collaborative sessions that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and drive tangible capability. Our Industry Experts create spaces where learners feel stretched yet supported- where ideas are tested, perspectives expanded, and lasting impact is made. Are you brimming with industry insights and equipped with the kind of charisma that lights up a room- or, in this case, a digital space? We're on the lookout for someone who thrives outside the traditional lecture hall, someone ready to dive headfirst into the dynamic world of online facilitation. If you've got a knack for sparking engaging conversations and a passion for real-world applications in the following industries: Finance, HR, Insurance, Management, Engineering or Technology, then you might just be the gem we're searching for! Your impact: Drive measurable learner engagement, facilitate engaging, high-energy live sessions that create a safe yet challenging environment for participation, discussion, and applied learning. Are you ready to join the journey? Duties and Responsibilities Facilitating Collaborative Learning Experiences: - Design and lead dynamic, interactive learning experiences that spark critical thinking and drive real-world application of knowledge. Creating Engaging Spaces for Collaboration on Chat Platforms: - Utilise community chat platforms to create dynamic, engaging spaces for learners to collaborate, share insights and support each other. Ensure these spaces are well-organised, with clear guidelines for participation, to foster effective communication and collaboration. Promoting Peer-to-Peer Learning: - Encourage learners to provide feedback and share knowledge with each other during sessions and also on the Online Campus within the Community chats. - Facilitate structured and informal peer review sessions, discussion threads and collaborative exercises that promote active learning and mutual support. Building a Collaborative Learning Community: - Foster a sense of community, encouraging learners to support each other, share resources and engage in continuous, informal learning. - Promote an atmosphere of mutual respect, inclusivity and shared goals. Encouraging Reflective Practice: - Initiate reflection sessions where learners can discuss their collaborative experiences, share challenges and successes, and reflect on the learning process. - Encourage learners to demonstrate their unique application of frameworks, models, and concepts within assessments, ensuring outputs reflect original thinking, contextual relevance, and individual insight rather than standardised responses. Staying Updated on Best Practices: - Continuously learn about and integrate the latest industry best practices related to your expertise and share these with the learners. Requirements Requirements and Qualifications: - A Master’s degree (or equivalent senior industry experience) in a relevant field - Previous online facilitation or training experience a must - Demonstrated senior industry experience - Strong communication and presence in virtual environments - Ability to translate complex concepts into practical application - Experience in marking assessments - Must have excellent internet connectivity and reliable technology Salary We pay per cohort fees and per assessment marked Working hours Determined by the course schedule and between 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
