• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and control frameworks aligned with industry best practices (ISO, NIST, CIS) • Design and promote secure architecture patterns across cloud, applications, networks, and data platforms • Conduct security risk assessments and control reviews for systems, projects, and business processes • Provide security architecture and design guidance for new solutions and major changes • Support supplier and third-party security assessments and due diligence • Contribute to governance, risk management, and compliance activities, including audits and certifications • Monitor control effectiveness and support security reporting and governance forums • Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure implementation of solutions • Support Security Operations with expertise on incidents and control improvements • Contribute to continuous improvement by addressing emerging threats and evolving technologies

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in information security (typically 5+ years), including security architecture or risk & controls
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, OWASP)
  • Experience designing and implementing security policies, controls, and architecture patterns
  • Hands-on experience with risk assessments, security reviews, or supplier security evaluations
  • Good understanding of modern environments: cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), IAM, networks, endpoint and application security
  • Awareness of emerging threats, including AI-related risks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Fluent English

Role Description We’re looking for a Security Analyst Support Intern to join the Wordfence team and gain hands-on experience in securing and supporting WordPress websites. This role will primarily involve: - Working closely with the Wordfence Customer Support team to identify and address customer issues. - Spending time with the Marketing, Quality Assurance, Care and Response, and Threat Intelligence teams. - Gaining insight into SEO, testing, site cleaning, and vulnerability validation processes. This is a 12 week internship with an hourly rate of $25 per hour. Upon completion of the Security+ certification, the hourly rate will increase to $30 per hour.
