Role Description We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Data Quality Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of complex datasets across multiple systems and sources. In addition to solving complex data problems, you will help define scalable data quality practices, validation approaches, and workflows that improve data reliability and enhance data quality across the organization. This is a hands-on technical role requiring a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving, and leadership. The Senior Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for: - Coaching and mentoring other analysts - Defining operational standards - Helping develop and implement scalable, cross-functional workflows for the data quality function in partnership with product, development, and veterinary medical teams Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or data management roles within technology, data-driven, or health-related industries - Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred - Demonstrated experience mentoring analysts and leading complex data investigations or cross-system data quality initiatives - Deep understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and cloud-based data ecosystems - Demonstrated experience normalizing and mapping complex datasets from diverse systems and formats - Strong expertise in SQL, data profiling, and root-cause analysis - Proven ability to implement automation, AI, or machine learning tools to improve data quality processes and efficiency - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail - Experience in establishing and monitoring data quality metrics and KPIs - Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills - Experience investigating complex data discrepancies across multiple systems or pipelines - Meticulous and methodical approach to data integrity and quality assurance - Proactive, innovative mindset exhibiting technical curiosity - Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, small company environment - Comfortable owning complex problems while guiding others in solving them - Familiarity or interest in the animal health industry is a plus Requirements - Lead and drive in-depth research and analysis to identify and remediate inconsistencies, gaps, and anomalies across datasets - Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and domain experts to validate data integrity and alignment with business logic - Lead cross-system data mapping and normalization initiatives - Develop and maintain documentation, master data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation - Define, design, and oversee data quality validation rules, metrics, and monitoring processes - Measure and monitor key data quality metrics and performance indicators - Design automated and manual validation checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency - Partner with development teams to integrate validation into data pipelines and transformation workflows - Design and optimize scalable workflows for data intake, mapping, normalization, and validation - Identify opportunities to improve data quality processes through automation and tooling - Apply AI and machine learning tools to enhance anomaly detection, mapping accuracy, and validation processes - Utilize AI-based solutions to identify and predict data inconsistencies - Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate automated validation and enrichment into production pipelines Benefits - Competitive compensation and benefits package - Opportunities for growth and professional development - Comprehensive leave policies, including PTO, sick leave, and study leave - Access to employee discount programs - Monthly connectivity allowance
