ROLE OVERVIEW The Senior Salesforce Release Manager will serve as the operational backbone of our Salesforce delivery practice. This individual will own the end-to-end release management lifecycle across multi-cloud Salesforce environments, working closely with architects, developers, QA engineers, and client stakeholders to ensure high-quality, predictable deployments. This is a high-impact, highly visible role that requires a blend of technical expertise, process discipline, and strong communication skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Release Planning & Execution - Own and manage the full release calendar across multiple Salesforce orgs and project tracks - Plan, coordinate, and execute deployments using tools such as Salesforce CLI, Copado, Flosum, or Gearset - Define and enforce branching strategies, sandbox refresh schedules, and code promotion policies - Lead release readiness reviews and deployment go/no-go decisions Change & Environment Management - Maintain governance over sandbox environments, ensuring alignment across dev, QA, UAT, and production - Track and manage change sets, metadata components, and version history across orgs - Identify and resolve environment conflicts, dependency issues, and deployment failures - Partner with architects to establish and evolve DevOps best practices across the practice Stakeholder Communication & Governance - Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related communications to internal teams and clients - Produce release notes, deployment runbooks, and rollback plans for each major release - Facilitate release retrospectives and drive continuous improvement to release processes - Manage and escalate risks and blockers proactively to project leadership Process & Tooling - Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows - Champion and enforce change management policies, CAB processes, and release governance frameworks - Document and continuously improve release management SOPs and internal playbooks - Support pre-sales and scoping activities by providing expertise on release and DevOps strategy QUALIFICATIONS Required - 5+ years of Salesforce release management or DevOps experience in a consulting or enterprise environment - Deep hands-on knowledge of Salesforce metadata deployments, change sets, and Salesforce DX (SFDX) - Experience with at least one release management platform: Copado, Gearset, Flosum, or AutoRABIT - Proficiency with source control (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) - Strong understanding of Salesforce multi-cloud architecture (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.) - Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent releases across multiple client environments simultaneously - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to technical and executive audiences - Active Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) or higher If this role aligns with your experience and interests, we encourage you to apply.
