Job Description
Creative Ops Coordinator
Relay Financial Technologies
Relay is a digital banking platform that gives self-made business owners the tools and know-how to be great with money—bringing clarity, confidence, and control to every dollar earned, so they can turn hard work into lasting success. We do this by replacing financial guesswork with real visibility, transforming cash flow from a constant source of stress into a clear signal owners can use to run stronger, more resilient businesses. Our mission is to increase the success rate of small businesses. Traditional banking has been a growth limiter rather than a growth enabler for business owners, and we’re changing that. Relay is the all-in-one, collaborative money management platform built for employer SMBs and their finance function internal and external. Ultimately, we make SMBs great with money. We’re looking for a Creative Ops Coordinator to join Relay’s Marketing team on a short-term contract basis. This is a focused, high-impact engagement: you’ll set up and configure our new Asana instance from the ground up, building the project structure, templates, workflows, and dependencies our creative team needs to operate efficiently. If you live and breathe Asana and get genuine satisfaction from turning a blank workspace into a well-oiled machine, this one’s for you. What You’ll Be Doing - Audit our current creative workflow needs through conversations with the marketing and brand team, then translate those into a clear Asana build plan. - Configure our Asana instance from scratch: workspace structure, teams, projects, sections, and naming conventions. - Build project templates for recurring work types—campaigns, video productions, design projects, and podcast episodes. - Set up task dependencies, milestones, and timeline views so the team can see how work flows from brief to delivery. - Create custom fields, rules, and automations that reduce manual status updates and keep projects moving without constant check-ins. - Build intake forms or request workflows so stakeholders can submit work through a consistent, trackable process. - Document how the system works—a clear, practical guide the team can reference after the engagement ends. - Train the marketing team on the setup, answer questions, and make adjustments based on feedback before wrapping. Who You Are - You have deep, hands-on Asana expertise—you’ve built and managed instances, not just used them as a contributor. - You understand how creative and marketing teams work: the kinds of projects they run, the handoffs that break down, and the information they actually need to track. - You ask smart questions upfront, work independently once you have what you need, and deliver clean work on time. - You communicate clearly in writing and can document a system for others to independently consume Bonus Points - You’ve implemented Asana for a creative, brand, or marketing team specifically. - You’re familiar with Asana’s advanced features: portfolios, goals, workload, reporting dashboards, and API integrations. - You have experience integrating Asana with other tools—Slack, Google Drive, Notion, or similar. - You’ve done similar ops or systems work in other project management tools (Monday.com, ClickUp, Linear) and can bring a cross-platform perspective. Engagement Details - Short-term contract, part-time - Approximately 4-8 weeks - Estimated 10–20 hours per week - Fully remote. Occasional video calls with the marketing team required - Compensation commiserate with experience ($50-$100/hour) Interview Process: Step 1: 30 minute Google Meet interview with Director of Brand Step 2: 30 minute Google Meet interview with Director of PMM Why Relay Might Be the Perfect Fit For You - You push relentlessly for reinvention: You’re built to constantly ask, “How can this be better?” Change excites you and you drive it. - You crave autonomy: We trust our team with big challenges and the freedom to solve them. If you’re someone who takes initiative, is comfortable taking risks, and seeks input when needed, you’ll find the freedom here empowering. - You own your work: You take pride in your work, follow through on commitments, and feel a deep sense of responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks. - You treat comfort as a red flag: You seek growth. When things feel too comfortable, you lean into change. You’re excited about stepping into the unknown and navigating new terrain to create something better alongside your team. - You care about impact, not noise: You care deeply about the substance of your work. You measure success by results, not recognition and you let your work speak for itself. - You’re energized by complexity and ambiguity: You enjoy tackling problems that don’t come with a playbook. You’re comfortable building from scratch, iterating as you go, and collaborating to shape the best path forward. - You seek out feedback: We value directness, clarity, and respect. We believe honesty fuels great work and career growth. You see feedback as a tool for learning and improvement, and you know that open, honest dialogue is key to achieving the best results — together. - You’re here for more than a job: At Relay, everything we do is in service of our mission to help small businesses thrive. To drive impact and have purpose here, that mission must matter to you too. What’s Important to Us Research shows that women-identifying and other marginalized individuals often apply only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. But no one is a perfect match on paper. If this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you and figure out together if it’s a great fit. At Relay, we believe that diversity is key to building high-performing teams, and creating an inclusive work environment is our priority. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We will work with applicants to provide accommodations at any stage of the hiring process. If you require accommodations during the interview process, please email your Talent Partner, and we will work with you to meet your needs. Disclaimer: For compliance reasons, all offers of employment at Relay are conditional upon a successful background check & employment verification through Certn.
