Role Overview We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers responsible for building novel product features to help members discover and connect with stories they’ll love, on Netflix’s flagship TV application. What we’re looking for - Experience: Proven experience leading an engineering team building large-scale, consumer-facing products on TV or Web. - Technical Excellence: Strong background in client-side software development, with solid system thinking and understanding of end-to-end architectures. - Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire and lead through change, ambiguity, and rapid innovation cycles. - Project Management: Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing complex projects and delivering results. - Collaboration: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and backend teams. - User-Centric Approach: Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a deep understanding of user interface design principles, and an active interest in how real members use Netflix through consumer insights and a/b test analysis.. - Experience working with remote and/or distributed teams is a plus. Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $400,000.00 - $632,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.
