JOB SUMMARY The E-Learning Developer (ELD) works closely with Instructional Designers (ID) and the Quality Assurance (QA) team to create assets to facilitate student learning. The ELD uses e-learning tools to create learning objects, presentations, and videos, and will format documents for accessibility, create visual assets, and develop training materials for team members. Salary range is $45,000-$55,000 annually (DOE). DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for creating and supporting online courses. This includes the following areas: 1. Convert and revise online higher education courses - Work with the ID to build new, and revise existing, online courses - Create and configure online courses on the LMS based on specifications in a design document from the ID - Work with the ID and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to identify areas of opportunity to improve instructional media or media development processes - Assist in quality analysis of online courses as needed - Use e-learning authoring tools to create/convert online course content or materials - Remain current with, and have a thorough understanding of the latest technology, tools, and trends in online education and instructional media - Develop ADA compliant course material 2. Provide training to Orbis team, students, and faculty - Contribute to job aids, process documentation, and training materials - Provide LMS training to students and faculty where necessary - Train internal staff on eLearning tools, LMS platforms, and other team-related procedures 3. Springboard is seeking experienced CRCST-certified Sterile Processing professionals to serve as student mentors throughout the course. Mentors support learners through 1:1 guidance, applied concept reinforcement, and exam-readiness coaching as students progress through a structured 14-week program. Because this is a first-time program launch, mentors will play an important role as early instructional partners, helping identify where students struggle, how concepts translate into practice, and how exam-readiness support can be strengthened across the student experience. This role is distinct from the Live Instructor role and does not include lecture delivery responsibilities. Essential Functions - Generative AI System Design & Development - Design, build, and continuously improve LLM-powered systems across Amira's product and operations — from internal tools to customer-facing features. - Own RAG pipelines end-to-end: document ingestion, chunking strategy, embedding selection, retrieval tuning, and response synthesis. - Develop and enforce guardrails, grounding strategies, and confidence thresholds to mitigate hallucination and ensure output reliability. - Architect prompt chains and agent workflows that are robust, maintainable, and cost-effective at scale. - Fine-Tuning, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement - Design and operate evaluation frameworks to measure system accuracy, helpfulness, hallucination rate, and task completion across generative AI features. - Fine-tune and adapt foundation models for domain-specific tasks, including data curation, training pipeline setup, and performance benchmarking. - Implement automated and human-in-the-loop review processes to catch and correct problematic outputs. - Monitor production traffic, identify failure modes, and iterate rapidly on retrieval, prompting, and generation strategies. - Integration & Infrastructure - Integrate LLM-powered features with internal systems and third-party platforms (e.g., Salesforce, CRM tools) via APIs, connectors, and data sync workflows. - Contribute to shared ML infrastructure and tooling used across Amira's AI systems. - Help explore and implement solutions that make generative AI economically viable within the budget constraints typical of public schools and education SaaS. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with learning design, content, product, and customer success teams to ensure AI systems are grounded in accurate, up-to-date domain knowledge. - Translate business needs into well-scoped generative AI solutions and communicate tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
