Senior Engineer – HVDC System Engineering

• Interpret the customer’s technical enquiry and design the most cost-effective overall solution for HVDC installation • Develop an integrated scheme design that meets the Customer’s needs • Insulation Coordination Studies and determine the temporary and transient overvoltage stresses on HV equipment • Manage the lifecycle of high economic value High Voltage equipment • Conduct Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Studies and Management • Create, verify, and validate the electrical power losses models for HVDC systems and subsystems • Report or resolve any non-conformances in a timely manner • Promote the identification of hazards and near misses with teams • Aware of Network Studies, Harmonic Analysis, RFI, EMC assessment and mitigation HVDC valves and their control systems
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Systems Engineering from an accredited institution
- 8 years of proven professional experience and technical expertise in the field of Power Systems Engineering and preferably in HVDC System Design/Studies
- 20% travels to customer and/or supplier sites internationally
- Experience executing large and complex substation/plant projects
- Master's degree in Power Systems Engineering from an accredited institution
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Mentoring mindset to develop and grow technical talent
- Understanding of customer needs, problem solving, creativity and innovation, relationship management, operational oversight and accountability, engineering instinct
- Capable of resolving points of difference, to gain advantage for an individual or collective, or crafting outcomes to satisfy various interests
- Ability to be a team player and to facilitate group interactions

We’re looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to lead complex data migration efforts for our customers. In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end migration lifecycle – working directly with customers to analyze, map, transform, and validate data as it moves from legacy systems into Bridgeway’s platform. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone who is comfortable solving problems in real time and driving migrations to a successful go-live.
