Title: Safety & Compliance Auditor Location: Cleveland United States Job Description: Safety & Compliance Auditor - REMOTE ABOUT THE POSITION As a member of the Corporate Operations Department, Safety & Compliance Auditors are responsible for evaluating workplace areas to identify hazards, providing technical guidance on site safety, audit recordkeeping for adherence to company or regulatory compliance issues. The Safety & Compliance Auditor provides immediate on-site training when deficiencies are found and is a leader in the Operations Mentorship Program for Location and Operations Managers. This Auditor position will be aligned with Northwest, North Central and Canada for the primary geographical area for partnerships. Successful candidate will live in the north central/west part of the US and within 50 miles of a major US airport. Audits will be conducted in other LLCs on a rotational basis. Travel is required 50-70% of the time. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Conduct audits using company-provided audit checklists within Intelex and prepare detailed reports of audit discoveries and required corrective actions. - Learn and stays current on agency regulations related to Austin Powder business activity (MSHA, OSHA, ATF, DOT, EPA, DHS, ERD). - Participates in corporate Operations meetings to ensure knowledge of company programs (policies, manuals, training, and software) and initiatives remains current and communications are appropriate. - Provide mentorship to new Location Managers. - Provides support and guidance to field management to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. - Identify areas where additional training is needed both at an individual location as well as overall at Austin Powder Company. - Participates in the investigation of serious incidents and assists in the preparation of root cause analysis. - Participate in the recommendation of changes in policies, procedures and work practices. - Plan and execute regulatory and company required training, as directed. - Carries out other duties as may be required.
