Electronics Commodity Manager – Active Components

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation

• Develop and execute global commodity strategies for active components (MCUs, ASICs, FPGAs, analog ICs, power semiconductors, memory, optoelectronics). • Align supplier strategies with technology roadmaps, product lifecycles, and long-term business needs. • Establish and manage strategic relationships with IDMs, fabs, foundry partners, and authorized distributors. • Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, LTAs, NCNR terms, allocation commitments, and capacity reservations. • Own year-over-year cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives through pricing, VAVE, design influence, and demand consolidation. • Partner with Engineering on NPI sourcing, qualification, and alternate part strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering (Electrical/Electronics), Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 7 years of sourcing or commodity management experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong expertise in active electronic components and semiconductor supply chains.
  • Proven negotiation experience with global suppliers and distributors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage supply constraints, allocations, and high-risk commodities.

Role Description As a Senior Manager, PMO Project Cost, APX, you will oversee APX governance of project controls cost management, ensuring consistent application of approved standards, procedures, systems, and control methods across projects. You will provide independent assurance and compliance oversight. This oversight will govern the integrity of cost baselines, budgets, forecasts, and Estimate at Completion (EAC). Additionally, it will include oversight of project controls systems, tools, data structures, and configuration requirements. These elements support accurate and auditable cost reporting. You will report to the VP, APX Project Management Office. This is a 100% Remote role. - Ensure consistent and disciplined application of approved project controls cost standards, procedures, systems, and control. - Oversee the integrity, consistency, and compliance of cost baselines, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and EACs to support accurate, transparent, and auditable project cost reporting. - Provide governance of cost management systems, tools, data structures, and configuration requirements to ensure they are applied correctly and support reliable cost performance measurement and reporting. - Monitor adherence to approved standards and procedures, assess data quality and cost performance trends, and identify deviations, risks, or new issues. - Identify cost risks, non‑compliance, and adverse trends, and escalate issues following defined governance and escalation requirements. - Review, and govern cost reports and performance narratives, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and agreement on governance expectations. - Lead deep dive cost review forums and coordinate with Finance, Procurement, and Project Management to ensure agreement between cost data, financial and project reporting. - Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project controls and cost management resources to strengthen standards, improve capability, and promote consistent application of governance requirements.
