Learning Services Coordinator Rasmussen University Online/Remote The Learning Services Coordinator - Nursing plays a critical role in advancing student success through centralized, virtual academic support tailored to the rigorous demands of nursing education. The Coordinator manages synchronous and asynchronous online academic skill support aligned to the content area, including peer and professional nurse-educator tutoring services. As a key contributor to the Learning Services team, the Coordinator contributes to strategic initiatives, data-informed service enhancements, and cross-functional partnerships that expand the impact of departmental services. Responsibilities: - Hire, train, and manage online Work Study Peer Tutors in accordance with College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) standards. - Hire, train, and manage online Nurse Educator Tutors aligned to evidence-based instructional standards. - Conduct regular performance evaluations according to applicable CRLA and HR standards. - Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for tutoring staff. - Design and deliver training sessions to ensure effective use of tutoring systems and service quality. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of tutor training content and student-facing academic skill instruction. - Maintain current knowledge of trends in nursing education, tutoring best practices, and learning science through ongoing professional development. - Develop and deploy academic skills webinars leveraging the collective expertise of internal tutors and external faculty stakeholders. - Curate and promote academic resources and services to support nursing licensure exam preparedness. - Maintain current knowledge of nursing curricula and assessments to inform disciplinary academic skill instruction. - Serve as a subject matter expert in nursing education to support targeted academic outreach and instructional design initiatives. - Coordinate Learning Center operations in partnership with Learning Services colleagues and leadership. - Collect, analyze, and report on tutoring usage, student outcomes, and satisfaction to inform continuous improvement and demonstrate impact. - Promote inclusive tutoring practices and ensure equitable access to academic support services for all nursing students. Reporting Relationships: The Learning Services Coordinator - Nursing reports to the Learning Manager, who reports to the Associate Director of Learning Services. The Learning Services Coordinator will formally supervise and manage a remote team, including a combined total of approximately ten Work Study Peer Tutors and Nurse-Educator Tutors. Supervisory experience is required. This role is indirectly responsible for the CRLA certification of peer tutors. Requirements: Required: - Minimum of three years of experience in online higher education supporting student academic skill development. - Masters degree in related field - Superior management and training experience in online higher education. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member and with other departments, both in person and virtually. - Flexibility to work a schedule aligned with university and student needs, including evenings and weekends. - Knowledge of principles and practices in tutoring centers, writing centers, or learning services. - Demonstrated track record of exceptional customer service in a professional environment. - Strong multi-tasking, organizational, planning, and coordination skills. - Self-motivated, flexible, patient, and solutions-oriented mindset. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written, with superior communication skills. - Experienced in standard learning management systems and publishing methods for online education, including LTI and digital objects. Preferred: - Previous tutoring experience. - Systems knowledge and experience with MS Teams and OneDrive. - Expertise with webinar/webcasting/web conferencing software. - Experience with Springshare LibApps, including LibGuides, LibCal, and LibAnswers. The range for this role is $466,000.00 - $750,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.
