Role Description In this role, you will lead the team responsible for powering the tooling, services, and infrastructure needed to enable Stripe’s scale. You will act as a strategic leader and technical mentor, ensuring our global corporate offices, support centers, and partner networks are designed and operated to the highest standards. Qualifications - People Management: 2+ years of experience managing direct reports who are geographically dispersed. - Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of routing protocols (BGP), Layer 2 technologies (link/chassis aggregation), and network security (IPSec VPNs). - Vendor Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Junos and Juniper routers, switches, and firewall hardware. - Automation Skills: Demonstrated success building internal tools and automation at scale using Python or other scripting languages. - OS & Troubleshooting: Comfort with Linux/Unix operating systems and the ability to troubleshoot "the life of a packet" from client to server. - Execution: Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in high-pressure situations while maintaining a high level of discipline. - Communication: Outstanding collaboration skills with the ability to deal patiently with people in a wide variety of situations.
