Location: Remote-based, United States of America Contract: Part-Time, hourly based contract, and contract length will be seasonal and dependent on business needs (based around the Baseball season) Hours: Shift times: Primarily 4 pm - 12 am EST, more limited daytime shifts 8 am - 4 pm EST, some later PM shifts for west coast games. The anticipated hours are up to 20-40 hours per week Expected Start Date: Immediate Salary: $15 per hour About the Role: Behind every data point is a moment, and behind every moment is an Operator making sure it’s captured seamlessly. As a KinaTrax Operator, you play a critical role in live sports operations by ensuring high-quality data collection during games and sessions. You are the front line of our data ecosystem, responsible for setting the stage for downstream processing, analysis, and delivery to teams and partners across the sport. Operators combine attention to detail, technical awareness, and calm execution in live environments. This role requires comfort with equipment, basic troubleshooting, and clear communication with internal teams to ensure captures are successful and data moves efficiently through our systems. Core Responsibilities: Live Data Capture & Execution: - Operate KinaTrax capture systems during live games and sessions to ensure accurate, complete data collection - Verify camera readiness, system status, and capture setup prior to and during events - Monitor live streams and system indicators to identify and address issues in real time - Ensure all assigned captures are completed according to operational standards and expectations Technical Readiness & Troubleshooting: - Perform basic technical troubleshooting during live operations (connectivity issues, camera streaming checks, system restarts, etc.) - Confirm cameras are active, properly configured, and functioning as expected - Elevate unresolved or complex technical issues to the appropriate internal team promptly and with clear documentation Post-Game & Session Handoff - Initiate post-game kick-off steps to support timely downstream data processing - Verify session completion, proper file generation, and readiness for processing - Communicate capture completion status, anomalies, or known issues to the Data Processing team through established workflows Operational Communication & Accountability: - Maintain clear communication with internal operations teams during and after events - Document issues, deviations, or noteworthy events related to capture quality or system behavior - Follow all operational protocols, escalation paths, and best practices to ensure consistent execution We’d Love to See: - Comfort working with computers and software tools - Ability to learn and execute technical processes in live, time-sensitive environments - Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused during extended events - Clear written and verbal communication skills - Ability to remain calm and adaptable when issues arise - Interest in sports, technology, or live operations is a plus Nice-to-Haves: - Experience with sports data, motion capture, or system integration - Comfortable working with camera-based systems - Familiarity with scripting or simple automation tools - Knowledge of camera calibration or GPU performance monitoring - Experience in data processing operations, technical support, or a related role preferred. - Familiarity with servers, file systems, and basic troubleshooting steps (storage checks, remote monitoring, etc.). - Comfortable working shift-based schedules and staying focused during critical live events. - Strong written skills for documentation and reporting. The contract will contract length will be seasonal and dependent on business needs A select number of Operators may be invited to extend their contracts through the remainder of the baseball season.
