Product Owner

• Translate complex customer requirements into clear, actionable features that align with client goals and technical capabilities • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring all work is well-defined, scoped, and ready for development • Lead backlog refinement and support sprint execution by keeping engineering teams focused, unblocked, and aligned • Define clear acceptance criteria to ensure delivered solutions meet both client expectations and technical standards • Proactively identify dependencies, risks, and blockers, and drive solutions to maintain delivery momentum • Serve as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, Professional Services, Project Management, and Engineering teams • Facilitate alignment across business and technical partners to ensure shared understanding and successful outcomes • Occasionally manage smaller client engagements end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery and strong communication • Support Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives, and standups as needed • Build strong cross-functional relationships and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment • Partner with globally distributed teams, including collaborating with engineers in India (~15% of your time, with some schedule flexibility required)

Job Requirements

  • Agile Product Ownership: At least 2 years of experience managing backlogs, refining user stories, and defining clear acceptance criteria (Jira or similar tools)
  • Project Delivery: Proven ability to manage projects or features end-to-end, ensuring work is delivered on time and aligned to requirements
  • Client-Centric Approach: Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and deliver value
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable collaborating with engineering teams and able to learn and apply technical concepts such as APIs, integrations, and system workflows
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, and Project Management to drive alignment and execution
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable plan
  • Prioritization & Execution: Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and keep work moving forward in a fast-paced environment

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager, Card Acquisition (New Channels) to launch and scale new acquisition channels for the Affirm Card. In this role, you’ll identify high-impact growth opportunities, validate them through rapid experimentation, and bring them to market at scale. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how millions of consumers first discover and adopt the Affirm Card, with direct ownership over measurable acquisition and activation outcomes. This is a highly visible role with significant opportunity to influence strategy and drive Affirm’s next phase of cardholder growth.
