Director of Product Design

ARB Interactive

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of UI/UX designers, ensuring high-quality output across all product domains. • Hire and onboard new designers as the team scales, setting clear expectations for performance and quality. • Prioritize incoming design requests from Product Managers and manage workload across the team. • Run regular design critiques, establish feedback loops, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. • Own and evolve the Modo design system, ensuring visual and interaction consistency across all surfaces (mobile app, web, back-office). • Establish and maintain design standards for the lobby, game experience, store, promotions, onboarding, and all player-facing flows. • Ensure all designs are optimized for mobile-first experiences with attention to performance and accessibility. • Build reusable templates and component libraries that accelerate design and development velocity. • Partner closely with Product Managers to translate product requirements into clear, polished design solutions. • Work with Engineering to ensure design feasibility, maintain fidelity during implementation, and resolve edge cases. • Collaborate with Marketing on promotional modals, banners, hero imagery, and seasonal themes, ensuring brand consistency between product and marketing design. • Coordinate with the animator to bring motion design and micro-interactions into the player experience. • Champion user research and player feedback as inputs to the design process. • Drive improvements to key UX flows including onboarding, first-time user experience, discoverability, store and purchase flows, and game navigation. • Ensure the product maintains a fun, rewarding, and intuitive feel that keeps players engaged.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design experience, with at least 1–2 years leading or managing a small design team.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile-first consumer product design, including complex interaction patterns and visual systems.
  • Experience owning or significantly contributing to a design system in a fast-moving product environment.
  • Proficiency in Figma and a track record of maintaining design quality across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with PM and Engineering.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on design work with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Preferred: Experience in gaming, social casino, sweepstakes, or mobile entertainment.
  • Background in designing for gamified experiences, reward mechanics, or engagement-driven products.
  • Experience coordinating between product design and marketing or brand design teams.
  • Familiarity with animation and motion design principles.
  • Experience working in a remote-first or distributed team environment.
