Billing & Posting Resolution Advocate (EPIC Experience)

The Billing and Posting Resolution Advocate is responsible for overseeing claims production, billing, follow-up, collections, and compliance with third party payer regulations. This position is responsible for daily oversight and management of process-based revenue cycle functions, including ongoing improvement to key revenue cycle indicators. These indicators include but are not limited to: A/R days, cash collection goals and posting, denials, underpayment and contract management activities related to patient account management. The Billing Manager should have comprehensive knowledge of revenue cycle operations. The position is responsible for personnel development and initiating disciplinary action according to policy. Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors specific responsibilities of this role include: - Possess complete understanding of the billing/collection process to resolve complex, outstanding claims. - Ensures accounts are billed accurately and timely by providing proactive oversight and direction for billing and collections. - Provides operational oversight for the Billing Coordinator, mentoring them in their responsibilities - Maintains current knowledge of hospital billing systems and government payer systems, including applicable federal/state laws and regulations, as well as all aspects of third-party reimbursement policies and practices - Demonstrates ability to manage, train and motivate employees, as well as a professional attitude in relating to executive management, professionals and third-party insurance carriers. - Organizes and leads efforts to maximize operational efficiency and optimize reimbursement, as well as monitors denials and provides education and reporting to the areas regarding the effect of denials from their areas. - Reviews all statistical reports to monitor trends, determine operational deficiencies and implement corrective action plans as necessary - Pro-active communication/escalation of potential claims/unbilled accounts/issues to the Director - Exhibits excellent leadership and self-direction, good judgement in handling difficult situations and good organizational, time management, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. - Assures that confidentiality of patient information is maintained without exception - Attends all required meetings and activities, maintaining a professional affiliation to stay abreast of current trends and changes in legislation and industry best practices. - Liaise with facility management and operates as the lead point of contact - Maintain employee time and attendance and scheduling demands - Responsible for accuracy of customer invoices, and creating the invoices monthly - Understanding the contract terms and insuring we stay within those terms - Performs all functions from the Management Expectations List - Performs all other duties assigned Minimum Requirements: Education/Experience/Certification Requirements - High school graduate or GED equivalent - 3 years previous hospital billing experience - Experience working in EPIC - Working knowledge of insurance regulations, procedure and diagnosis coding and automated insurance billing - Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills - Excellent critical thinking, organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow through - Must be able to work through issues to resolution Preferred Qualifications: - Associates or Bachelor’s Degree - 2 years Medicare hospital billing experience Why join our team? - Work remotely with a work/life balance approach - Robust benefits offering, including 401(k) - Generous time off allotments - 10 paid holidays annually - Employer-paid short term disability and life insurance - Paid Parental Leave

See Yourself at Telix The Sr. Specialist, Medical Communications & Scientific Publications will be a key player in contributing to the achievement of Telix's strategic goals by supporting the execution of the scientific publications and communications plan. This key player will support the effective communication of highly complex scientific information regarding Telix products by developing medical writing and communications deliverables including slide decks and scientific manuscripts (eg, clinical trials results, real world evidence, health economics outcomes, literature reviews). They will work closely with authors, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders, and will support rigorous quality checks / edits to ensure top-quality deliverables consistent with medical communications plan and scientific platform. This individual will be responsible for leading the overall development process (eg, performing lit reviews / background research; drafting outline and multiple draft iterations; collecting, collating, and incorporating author / reviewer comments). They will work cross functionally in collaboration with internal teams (e.g., Clinical Science, Clinical Operations, Product Portfolio/Global Commercial, Research & Innovation, Marketing, Market Access, Intellectual Property, Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance Teams) to drive corporate objectives across the organization. Key Accountabilities: - Medical writing – drive development of responsible medical communications deliverables (eg, primary and secondary manuscripts, review articles, abstracts, posters/orals). Maintain project timelines consistent with publication objectives. Ensure adherence to relevant best practices, including compilation of required materials such as authorship disclosures. - Medical editing and quality checks – perform quality review and control (ie, source verification / fact-checks, check-of changes, copyediting, proofreading); ensure content and style consistency within and across related documents. Format to established guidelines. Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback. - Visual content creation – develop visually appealing slide decks to effectively convey complex scientific information; create supporting graphics, tables, figures, etc. Lead organization and updates to core slide decks. - Literature searches – perform literature searches; read, interpret, track, and summarize relevant publications. Support literature repository organization. - Lead and mentor– contribute positively to the team-oriented, global culture and uphold Telix values while mentoring junior team members and acting as a leader to help support on-time, quality deliverables. Education and Experience: - Advanced degree in a scientific concentration and relevant experience: Master’s degree in a with 4+ years or PhD (preferred) with 2+ years relevant experience required. - 5+ years’ experience with publications (e.g., peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and related poster/oral presentations). Industry and/or pharmaceutical experience required - 2+ years of Oncology, health economical outcomes research, and/or real-world evidence research experience is a plus - Medical editing and quality review of scientific publications experience required (ex: regulatory, manuscripts, abstracts, etc.). - Working knowledge of current publication environment and relevant standards / documents (eg, ICMJE Authorship Guidelines, Good Publication Practice guidelines, AMA manual of style, EQUATOR reporting guidelines). - Ability to critically read, interpret, and communicate knowledge from scientific literature including peer-reviewed manuscripts and regulatory documents (e.g., protocol, investigator's brochure, clinical study report). - Highly skilled with using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and reference managers. Experience with EndNote, visual presentation tools, automation and efficiency tools (AI), and statistical analysis software are a plus. - Understanding of clinical trials landscape and pharmaceutical drug development lifecycle.
