• Oversee full-cycle accounting: Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple business lines with complex rev rec and accruals, including 340B contract pharmacy and home infusion segments. • Drive technical accounting rigor: Lead purchase accounting for M&A activity, ensure compliance with healthcare-specific accounting standards, and manage audit readiness and support. • Implement process improvements: Develop and enforce SOPs, strengthen close checklists, and enhance documentation to boost accuracy and efficiency within a fragmented systems environment. • Lead and develop a small accounting team: Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to staff accountant and AP, fostering a proactive, solution-oriented culture. • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with finance leadership and operational teams to support strategic initiatives, deliver financial insights, and scale finance functions alongside rapid business growth.
Job Requirements
- Deep Technical Accounting & Accrual Expertise: Hands-on experience with complex accrual accounting, ensuring accuracy during month-end close despite fragmented systems and audit pressures.
- Proactive Process Improvement & Close Optimization: Self-starter mindset focused on driving process rigor, documentation, and streamlining the close process to enhance efficiency and control.
- Thrives in Fast-Paced, PE-Backed Growth Environment: Comfortable managing workload spikes and rapid scaling demands typical of a private equity-backed high-growth company.
