Role Description We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development & Inside Sales Manager to lead our efforts in the Retail Vertical, focusing on clients in North America and/or Europe. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in inside sales and business development, who is passionate about identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and driving revenue growth in the retail sector. Our success is based on close partnering with our clients. This crucial role will involve outreach via inside sales tools and lead generation strategy primarily in the areas of: - Analytics - Competitive Intelligence - Customer Experience - Content - Creatives - Generative AI - CRM & Digital campaigns - Mar-Tech - Product Data management Your key responsibilities will be: - Business Development Strategy: - Develop and implement a robust business development strategy targeting retail clients in North America and/or Europe. - Identify and prioritize high-potential accounts, understanding their business needs and digital strategies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals. - Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: - Utilize inside sales tools and techniques to identify, qualify, and generate leads for potential retail clients. - Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent flow of opportunities to meet revenue targets. - Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights within the retail sector. - Client Engagement & Relationship Management: - Engage with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target retail accounts, building strong relationships to understand their needs and pain points. - Present eClerx tailored solutions that align with client priorities, positioning our services as the best fit for their digital transformation efforts. - Maintain ongoing communication with clients, providing updates, insights, and value-added services to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. - Market Research & Insights: - Research and analyze client priorities, digital strategies, and market trends to provide actionable insights for business development efforts. - Monitor competitor activities and industry developments to stay ahead of market trends and adapt strategies as needed. - Collaboration & Reporting: - Work closely with the sales, marketing, Product and Ops teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives. - Regularly report on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights to senior management. - Support the eClerxDigital onsite Client Engagement Leads and Senior Management globally to anticipate and identify new opportunities and service areas. - Develop and maintain active relationships with key stakeholders throughout the engagement portfolio. Qualifications - Bachelors’ degree, BE/Business Administration, Marketing or related field required. MBA is a plus. - Prior experience of 5-8 years with inside sales, business development, or a similar role, in IT services / Product Sales & Business Development with proven track record working in the North Americas / Europe regions, with focus on the Retail sector. - Strong domain knowledge of areas such as digital marketing, Mar-Tech, business analytics and insights / business intelligence, Content & Creatives, Competitive Pricing Intelligence, e-commerce, Web Ops etc. - Deep understanding of the retail industry, including key players, trends, and digital transformation strategies. - Proficiency in using inside sales tools, CRM systems, Campaign Managers and market research platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Sales Force (SFDC), Outreach.io and research and mining tools like ZoomInfo, Apollo.io, Orbit Shift etc. - Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills - the ability to network and earn client confidence and trust. - Highly motivated, resourceful, and adaptable. Must enjoy constantly learning and tackling new challenges. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment. - Work US/European hours and aligned with US/European holiday schedule (with exceptions).
