Job Description
Staff Product Manager – Platform & Infrastructure
Render
• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the foundational primitives upon which everything at Render is built. Your scope spans compute & orchestration, network topology, traffic, and routing features, and data storage infrastructure. • Drive prioritization across Render's platform investments, balancing the leverage of foundational capabilities against near-term product and business needs and being able to negotiate those tradeoffs. • Partner deeply with Engineering & other Product teams to shape the technical direction of Render's core infrastructure, ensuring architectural decisions optimize for long-term reliability, performance, and extensibility. You’ll own the base layer of our stack, so having the dexterity to understand the shape of our other Product investment areas is essential. • Develop a strong, opinionated point of view on how Render's platform primitives need to evolve to serve AI-native builders, from compute and orchestration to storage and runtime. • Set the standard for how product teams build on Render's platform, providing clear guidance, boundaries, and abstractions that make it easy for other product leaders and external customers to ship with confidence.

- Deep developer empathy, for both internal engineering teams and our customers, and the technical depth to make sound architectural tradeoffs in collaboration with engineering.
- A track record of taking ambiguous, cross-cutting platform problems and turning them into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Experience as an infrastructure engineer.
- Experience building AI agents or infrastructure.
