Senior Substation Engineer – Data Center
Olsson
• Lead Substation & Power Infrastructure Design: Design high‑voltage substations, switching stations, and power delivery systems supporting data centers and other mission‑critical facilities. • Own Projects End‑to‑End: Guide projects through planning, studies, detailed design, and construction administration. • Partner with Clients: Work directly with data center owners, developers, utilities, and internal stakeholders. • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Coordinate with protection & controls, transmission, distribution, and generation teams. • Support Growth & Innovation: Contribute technical expertise that helps expand Olsson’s data center and power delivery portfolio while mentoring engineers.
Job Requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Eight or more years of progressive electrical engineering experience
- Strong background in substation design, power delivery, or utility-scale infrastructure
- Experience supporting large-load or mission-critical facilities (such as data centers, industrial campuses, or generation facilities)
