Principal Solution Consultant MBPLE (Model Based Product Line Engineering) Reports To: André Maaß, Director PLE Consulting Location: Remote from Eastern or Central Time Zone Preferred Travel: Up to ~50% Travel, Travel is mainly domestic with potential global travel **USA Citizenship Required** Position Overview: As Principal Solution Consultant PLE you will act as senior technical consulting expert, provide senior technical guidance and contribute technical expertise to complex pre-sales engagements in North America for PLE and MBSE, supporting our key Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions: Codebeamer, Pure Variants and MBSE solutions. This role focuses on supporting PLE in combination with MBSE, including ALM/PLE and MBSE patterns/architectures, customer onboarding, and long-term customer success initiatives across enterprise clients mainly in regulated industries such as automotive, aerospace, and medical devices. You will be part of the global PLE expert solution consulting & services team. Key Responsibilities: - Develop & present technical presentations and customized demonstrations of PTC Codebeamer and Pure Variants including integrations with Windchill and 3rd party MBSE solutions such as Catia Magic to customers prospects and partners (technical and executive audiences). - Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, CSM, Product Management, R&D, and Support to ensure seamless customer experience. - Plan, manage and deliver POC’s (proof of concepts) and technical workshops based on customer and partner related business needs with a focus on PLE process, methods and tools. - Act as a solution architect for customer engagements within defined solution architecture, working with our partners, solution centers and R&D. - Represent PLE initiatives at key North American PTC internal events and external events jointly with customers. - As a senior technical advisor, suggest potential solutions and/or alternatives to key customer and partner challenges. - Support the sales team in qualifying potential opportunities with current customers, partners or prospects with the goal of fostering customer adoption and value realization of PLE with Pure Variants, Codebeamer and third 3rd party MBSE solutions such as Catia Magic. - Develop technical responses for customer requests for information (RFI, RFP etc.) - Stay current on industry trends in systems engineering, INCOSE, DevOps, Aviation & Defense compliance (e.g., DO178c, ARP4754) and Automotive compliance (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE, SOTIF) Required Qualifications: - 10+ years in professional services or solution delivery within enterprise software or Process Methods & Tools department of enterprise clients. - 5+ years in senior engineering / consultant roles for PLE, MBSE and /or ALM. - 5+ years in Defense and Aerospace industry and/or Automotive industry - Familiarity with PLE process, methods and tools based on IS26580, and Systems Engineering practices based on IS015288 and INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook - Proven knowledge of MBSE framework such as SysMod, Magic Grid, Harmony SE - Hands-on Experience with Pure Variants, Catia Magic and Codebeamer, or similar products. (e.g. IBM DNG, Siemens Polarion, RVS, JAMA). - Knowledge of SysML v1 and SysML v2 - Proven success in supporting / building / operating implementations in highly regulated industries such as Defense, Aerospace and Automotive. - Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. - Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Preferred Skills and Knowledge: - INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP or ESEP) - Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, and other DevOps toolchains. - OMG System Modelling Certified - Knowledge of PLM domain The language that would appear on the job description would be as follows: PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $164,400-$222,360. The anticipated annual salary range encompasses both the base salary and the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock.
