Technical Project Lead – Customer Value Engineer

AMDT

• Technical and operational responsibility for international rollout projects at enterprise and corporate customers. • Planning, coordinating and managing rollouts across multiple sites, countries and time zones. • Structuring project phases, including schedules, dependencies and milestones. • Performing software installations, configurations and commissioning (remotely and occasionally on-site). • Technical setup and integration of devices, machines and automation systems. • Integration of common automation and control systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rockwell). • Coordination with customer IT, OT, engineering and management teams. • Delivering training and enablement sessions for administrators, key users and rollout teams. • Proactively identifying risks, deviations and opportunities for optimization throughout the project lifecycle. • Close collaboration with sales, product management and support to ensure sustainable customer success.

Job Requirements

  • Completed vocational training, technician qualification or degree in Automation, Electrical, Information or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical professional experience.
  • Solid experience in technical project management (e.g., rollout planning, technical setup, customer coordination).
  • Strong knowledge of automation technology, e.g.: SIMATIC (S7, TIA Portal, HMI, PCS7) as well as other controller families (Schneider Electric, Rockwell, etc.).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet, PROFINET, PROFIBUS or similar).
  • Very good IT and networking knowledge, with an understanding of IT/OT interfaces.
  • Experience in implementing or supporting software or automation projects.
  • Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken (for international projects).
  • Structured, methodical and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness and a confident customer-facing manner.
  • High customer and service orientation and strong team spirit.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (project-dependent).
