FTZ Specialist Position Summary The FTZ Specialist supports the Customs Manager in ensuring Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) compliance and adherence to U.S. Customs and Trade regulations. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external customs brokers to maintain compliance, support FTZ operations, and ensure the accuracy of FTZ entries, import documentation and systems data. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Audit customs entries, including 214’s and FTZ entries, for accuracy and regulatory compliance. - Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with customs brokers. - Respond to customs broker inquiries and follow through to resolution in a timely manner. - Assist with the development, maintenance, and periodic review of Customs Compliance Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). - Assist the Customs Manager with product classification to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and internal standards. - Review material master (new item set-up) requests and related reports to validate correct tariff classifications. Required Qualifications - Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in product classification, customs entries, and customs compliance. - Experience supporting or working within Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, including knowledge of FTZ regulations. - Experience with consumer goods commodities, including kitchen appliances, electronics, hair accessories, and cosmetic/travel bags. - Demonstrated experience with Section 232 aluminum and steel tariffs. - Working knowledge of ACE (Automated Commercial Environment). Preferred Qualifications - Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively. - Experience with AI tools to assist with auditing FTZ entries Compensation: - Annual salary range of 65,000–85,000, based on experience and qualifications.
