This position is responsible for the Company’s US tax, managing risk, value add, accounting and compliance. The successful candidate will work with the business providing commercial appropriate business solutions with cross functional projects, outside service providers on technical matters, and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities. We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Tax (US) to join our tax team in our Wilmington Head Office and/or Remote. Some of the things you will be doing: • Identify and lead execution of US tax planning strategies to manage tax risks and effectiveness with respect to US/international operations and structure in line with best practice. • Oversee all tax returns, including Federal, State, Sales & Use and US international filing forms 8858/5471/CBCR/GILTI/SubPart F along with 987/988 Gain/Loss calculations. • Oversee all US tax accounting, forecasting and budgeting, ensuring appropriate provisioning, KPI and policies to satisfy tax requirements, footnote, and deferred tax computations • Review quarterly the S Corp shareholder distribution calculations along with providing shareholder relations support • Provide strategic direction, technical guidance and leadership of the US tax team as implement new operating model. • Partner and manage the relationship with external tax advisors, aligning internal and external resources • Collaborate with and support global teams such as the business units, shared services and International tax teams. • Support Director of tax technology as we invest in efficient systems to cope with expanding tax demands. • Oversee audits and inquiries for direct and indirect tax • Work closely with the senior managers of US direct and indirect tax functions to ensure tax compliance, planning, technical guidance and decisions are timely. • Advise senior leadership of the impact of new tax laws and proposed legislation, ensuring compliance for future requirements • Other projects/duties as assigned What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need? - A self-starter with strong US technical knowledge of corporate income tax and indirect tax principles for both C and S Corps. • 10-15 years of combined experience from industry and public accounting for US tax • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, CPA and master’s degree a plus • Experience developing and leading teams, driving success across global locations, and driving efficient processes that can expand in-sourcing of work from third parties. • Experience with EPM/Hyperion, Corptax, Oracle/SAP or other major ERP platforms - Experience with data, advanced analytics, knowledge, and past experience working with automation RPA - In-depth knowledge of indirect & direct S & C Corp experience - E Strong accounting and analytical skills while being detail oriented and having the ability to multi-task - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across the enterprise as well as excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
