Senior Backend Engineer – Growth

• Own and evolve our data integration infrastructure — data infrastructure, marketing enablement, customer communication tools, and experimentation data flows • Build the connective tissue between Growth's external tools and internal systems • Partner closely with the broader Growth team to translate fast-moving priorities into well-scoped, executable engineering work • Balance velocity with system health — make deliberate tradeoffs and document your reasoning • Work across our full product stack as needed; this is a backend-focused role but we deeply value a generalist product engineering mindset
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of production software experience, with meaningful time in a startup or high-ownership environment
- Data & experimentation infrastructure experience — and a genuine interest in going deeper on this skillset
- Demonstrated ability to weigh technical tradeoffs between velocity and system health and make a defensible call
- Experience translating ambiguous product requirements into scoped, well-defined work units — you're allergic to silos and knowledge hoarding
- History of working closely with a strong PM on a user-facing team; you think about the end user, not just the implementation
- An understanding of the highly iterative nature of Growth/top-of-funnel work — willingness to abandon unsuccessful experiments
