Job Overview We are currently partnering with a strategic client in the UAE and are actively expanding their team. We are looking for a skilled Next.js Developer to lead the technical development of a web portal project. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design, development, and optimization of a scalable and high-performance portal. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Development Lead, Product Owner, and Scrum Master to ensure successful delivery of the project. Key Responsibilities - Technical Leadership: Serve as the expert in React framework for the project, leading the technical design and development of the portal. - Solution Architecture: Collaborate with the Dev Lead to design a robust, scalable architecture that meets business needs. - Development Oversight: Guide the development team in best practices for portal implementation, ensuring high-quality code and performance. - Collaboration and Integration: Work alongside the Senior Project Manager, Product Owner, and Scrum Master to ensure seamless integration with other project components. - Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of the portal to meet technical and business benchmarks. - Quality Assurance: Oversee testing and quality assurance, ensuring alignment with project standards and requirements. - Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing technical insights and progress updates. - Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest React features and industry trends to enhance project outcomes. - Innovation and Strategy: Drive innovative solutions to improve user experience and business value. - Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, improving their React skills and overall competency. - Risk Management: Identify technical risks and collaborate on mitigation strategies. - Vendor Liaison: Act as the main technical contact for frontend development, ensuring alignment with external vendors if needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Extensive experience with React, Nest.JS framework.
- Proven track record as an intermediate frontend developer in large-scale web portal projects.
- Deep understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Next.js, Redux, and modern front-end build pipelines (e.g., Webpack).
- Proficiency with Nest.JS, including experience with TypeScript, building APIs, and working with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
- Knowledge of GraphQL.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment workflows.
- Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in Agile development environments, working closely with Scrum teams.
