Senior Data Engineer

TechBiz Global

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT) • Work with Databricks for large-scale data processing using Spark and Delta Lake • Optimize data workflows, performance, and data storage solutions • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, engineers, and stakeholders • Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability across systems • Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture and processes

Job Requirements

  • Strong experience with Databricks (Spark / Delta Lake)
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform ( AWS, Azure, or GCP )
  • Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD practices

Data Enterprise Architect Main Responsibilities: • Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture blueprint, including data models, standards, and governance frameworks. • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to align data architecture with strategic business objectives and digital transformation initiatives. • Design and oversee the implementation of scalable data solutions across transactional, analytical, and streaming environments. • Establish standard data integration and data exchange patterns to ensure system interoperability across platforms. • Lead data platform modernization efforts and cloud adoption initiatives, including migrations to Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCP. • Define policies and frameworks for data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data management (MDM). • Partner with Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory adherence. • Provide architectural guidance to solution architects, data engineers, and project teams through reviews, mentoring, and coaching. Requirements: Mandatory: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields. • Proven experience in Data Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or similar roles. • Deep understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and data lifecycle management. • Strong experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure Data Services, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks). AWS preferred. • Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL data technologies. • Experience with data governance and catalog tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation. • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. • Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented mindset. Nice to Have: • Experience working in regulated industries (Pharma, Finance, Healthcare). • Certifications in Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Platforms, or Data Management (TOGAF, Zachman, AWS, Azure, etc.). • Practical understanding of AI/ML data requirements and data product design concepts.
