• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships to facilitate collaboration and information sharing. • Prepare and present reports, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring that complex information is communicated clearly and concisely. • Lead the execution of key initiatives and projects, providing direction and oversight to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. • Facilitate strategic planning sessions and workshops, guiding leadership through the process of setting priorities and defining actionable steps. • Develop and mentor team members, cultivating leadership skills and building a pipeline of talent to support future organizational growth and success. • Assess and streamline organizational processes to enhance operational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. • Develop and implement performance metrics to monitor operational effectiveness, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and reported regularly. • Drive initiatives that promote resource optimization, ensuring that teams have the necessary tools, processes, and support to achieve their goals. • Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture by promoting core values, encouraging collaboration, and recognizing team contributions. • Promote a culture of accountability by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and recognizing achievements within teams. • Utilize data-driven analysis and market research to inform decision-making processes, providing insights that guide project direction and strategic initiatives. • Prepare and present reports on project status, outcomes, and lessons learned to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Job Requirements
- Solid years of experience at a startup, private equity, hedge fund, or venture capital firm with a proven track record of success in strategic roles.
- Outstanding academic credentials with a bachelor's or master’s/MBA degree.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with C-Suite executives and senior management, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Executor/entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives, with a strong understanding of investment processes, portfolio management, and market dynamics.
- Highly organized and structured with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude in a dynamic work environment with a commitment to continuous improvement.

THIS IS AN UNPAID ROLE Role Title: Chief of Staff / Deputy / Assistant Role Nature: Volunteer Location: Home-based The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) is an international volunteers-led think tank supporting and advocating the application of blockchain technology in the global fight against climate change. Our organization is growing, and we need motivated and adaptable VOLUNTEER to support our senior management team as Deputy Chief of Staff / Assistant Chief of Staff, in the Director-General's Office. The ideal candidates should be driven, experienced, and looking to make a difference in international climate change governance. As with all roles in BCI, this is a voluntary unpaid role. Our Data Policy As strategists, consultants, and implementers, the successful candidates will ensure streamlined activities within the organization based on the priorities of the Director-General. You will assist the Chief of Staff to oversee the operation of the Director-General's Office and assist in various aspects of organizational administration and development. The right candidates for the job will contribute to the organization's long-term success. Responsibilities - Oversee strategic directorate-level project initiatives from development through successful execution with directorate officers; - Assist and communicate with principal executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation; - Review, design, and execute improvements to cross-institute project initiatives; - Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity; - Serve as liaison officer among senior executives, and heads of divisions regarding company climate, volunteers' well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning; - Assist the Cheif of Staff in resolving volunteers’ concerns (if necessary); - Build and develop relationships with all volunteers for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness to existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies, working with Directors and Senior Executives on special projects; - Serve as the general program manager handling inquiries, developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of internal communications; - Acts as a representative of the Director General for external liaison work.
• Hiring and onboarding: Partner with the CEO and leadership team to scope roles, manage candidate pipelines, and coordinate interviews and onboarding for new team members • Calendar management and assisting with schedules of partners and our clients • Act as the point of contact for the CEO and Head of Acceleration for both internal and external stakeholders • Develop systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency for appointments and various business tasks • Maintaining files and databases • Manage correspondence with other top executives and their support staff • Being on-call during key projects • Run ad-hoc projects as required
