Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
Hawkins Parnell & Young, LLP
• Attend firm-wide huddles and team meetings as scheduled. • Draft and file complaints within 30 days of a case transfer. • Ensure service of process is completed within designated timeframes. • Schedule and track case milestones, including scheduling hearings, mediations, and depositions. • Provide telephonic client updates every six weeks, with no more than 10 outstanding updates at any given time. • Maintain accurate and timely case documentation in SmartAdvocate. • Draft and serve subpoenas, discovery requests, and responses. • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including scheduling witness statements, compiling exhibits, and creating necessary legal binders. • Perform background checks on defendants and clients as part of case preparation. • Work collaboratively with attorneys, case managers, and legal assistants to move cases toward resolution.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience required.
- Ability to travel in the event a case goes to trial is required.
