We are now seeking an experienced, client‑facing Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale software implementations for our emergency services customers. Role Overview As a Project Manager within NEC Public Safety, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of complex software implementation projects—from contract signature through go-live and into service transition. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while managing milestones, risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations. This is a highly visible and customer‑facing position, requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across both NEC and external partners. Key Responsibilities - Lead the delivery of Public Safety software implementation projects from contract award through to go-live and service handover. - Plan, track, and manage project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies. - Coordinate and manage resources from internal teams, external partners, and customer stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression. - Build strong relationships with customer organisations (including emergency services forces) and act as the primary NEC representative in all customer meetings. - Manage escalations effectively, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and communicated appropriately. - Chair and attend internal governance boards, providing accurate reporting to senior stakeholders. - Ensure project delivery remains within the agreed NEC budget, maintaining strong commercial awareness throughout. - Oversee third‑party contractors and ensure alignment with project objectives and quality expectations. - Maintain a high standard of professionalism and be an excellent ambassador for NEC. Please note: The ability to undergo SC (Security Check) clearance is essential for this role. Qualifications Required Experience & Skills - Proven track record as a Project Manager delivering significant, large‑scale software implementations. - Strong understanding of project and programme management principles, tools, and methodologies. - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively and work calmly under pressure. - Confident user of MS Office and project management software. - Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly at all levels. - Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities. - Highly numerate, methodical, and commercially aware, with the ability to understand and report on project budgets. - Demonstrated ability to self‑manage, take ownership, and maintain productivity in demanding environments. - Professional, approachable, and committed to delivering a positive customer experience. - Willingness to work extended hours when required to support project success. Qualifications - Degree or equivalent experience (preferred). - PRINCE2 Practitioner or similar project management qualification (preferred). Who The Client Is: A well-established Australian business operating in the building improvement and asset maintenance space. Delivering project-based solutions focused on the refurbishment, enhancement, and upkeep of existing commercial and public-use facilities. Their work commonly includes upgrades to operational spaces, internal fit-outs, make-good works, and external infrastructure improvements across sectors such as education, healthcare, and other institutional environments. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support the preparation of accurate and commercially competitive tenders for building improvement and refurbishment projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience supporting Australian construction projects and who is confident working across multiple live tenders in a remote setup. The successful candidate will work closely with the Australian delivery team to review project documentation, assess scope requirements, coordinate subcontractor pricing, and prepare detailed cost estimates for submission. Key Responsibilities:  - Review project information provided by the Australian team, including site photos, videos, drawings, specifications, and tender documents, and prepare accurate cost estimates from initial pricing through final submission. - Break down tender requirements into individual trade packages such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, tiling, mechanical, and fire services. - Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain, manage, and follow up on quotations. - Evaluate subcontractor quotes based on cost, scope coverage, exclusions, delivery capability, and overall value for money. - Read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering documentation, and project specifications. - Perform quantity take-offs using tools such as Bluebeam Revu. - Prepare detailed cost breakdowns by trade and project element. - Identify commercial, scope, and delivery risks and escalate concerns where necessary. - Support subcontractor negotiations to align pricing with project requirements and commercial targets. - Maintain accurate records of tender activity, pricing files, subcontractor correspondence, and submissions within internal systems. - Provide estimating support for minor works, project budgets, and ad hoc pricing requests. - Collaborate closely with the Australian delivery and estimating teams throughout the tender lifecycle. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, ideally within the Australian commercial or government building sector. - Proven experience pricing fit-outs, make-good works, refurbishments, and infrastructure upgrades. - Direct experience working with Australian-based construction companies, clients, or subcontractors. - Demonstrated experience obtaining, reviewing, and levelling subcontractor quotes. - Strong understanding of Australian construction trades and tendering processes. - Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, and project specifications. - Hands-on experience performing quantity take-offs. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating platforms. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple live tenders and meet deadlines.
