Job Description

Supply Chain Intern

• Gather, analyze, and report supply chain data to identify trends and recommend process improvements related to forecasting, logistics, operational processes, site layout, inventory management, and other supply chain related aspects of the business • Assist with monitoring inventory levels, gaining insight into product movement throughout the fulfillment network, and associate actions on site • Collaborate with various internal teams including IT, inventory control, site operations, project managers, and others to gain insights into fulfillment operations and provide recommendations for process improvements • Gain hands on experience with large scale supply chain projects, coordinating with internal teams to implement strategic solutions that streamline operations and improve overall efficiency • Perform research on industry best practices, new automation technologies, and new tools that can improve operations or solve existing operational constraints • Help create detailed documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagram to add clarity and accuracy for team members and management for process standardization across the SupplyHouse.com fulfillment network • Support and engage with external vendors to communicate technical needs, project status, escalate issues, and ensure that all requirements are aligned with company expectations and project budgets

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills with the ability to use tools such as Excel, PowerBI, or related
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and written, at all levels

As a Sr. Finance Analyst, Supply Chain, your responsibilities will include: - Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Warehouse, Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, H&S, and Process Improvement teams to strengthen cost control and performance. - Own daily and monthly cost tracking, variance analysis, and performance reporting for manufacturing and supply chain activities (Departmental & MFG Expense, LOI, Inventory Reconciliation, Labor Productivity). - Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve operational efficiencies, and influence cost drivers in partnership with operations teams. - Support Capex management, standard cost updates, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with corporate and regional requirements. - Maintain KPI dashboards to monitor operational and financial performance, providing insights for better decision-making. - Lead semi-annual physical inventory counts to ensure compliance, accuracy, and reconciliation with system records and ensure inventories are properly valued and standards are accurately set and maintained across manufacturing sites. - Provide recommendations for inventory control to minimize losses and optimize working capital. - Lead site-level annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for headcount, expenses, inventory, and LOI. - Partner with plant management, regional Finance, and Operations teams to deliver insightful financial analysis that supports strategic decisions and drives cost efficiency. - Are a strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture, aligning financial strategies with supply chain initiatives to maximize efficiency and profitability. - Have a talent for anticipating market trends and proactively planning for risks and opportunities. - As a partner with the Supply Chain business, you possess a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics and financial principles, enabling insightful guidance on cost optimization and resource allocation. Qualified candidates will have: - Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) in Accounting or Finance - Minimum of five (5) years of financial analysis experience - Experience in a manufacturing environment. - Currently located within a commutable distance to Alsip, IL.
