Senior Azure Cloud Network Engineer

• Lead the implementation and optimization of cloud network solutions across complex client environments. • Serve as a technical mentor and escalation point for junior and mid-level engineers. • Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and high-performance network architectures. • Drive technical discussions with clients, providing strategic guidance and implementation expertise. • Oversee the deployment and integration of hybrid network solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures. • Automate network provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep or Terraform. • Ensure compliance with security and governance policies across all network implementations. • Contribute to the development of best practices, reusable templates, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Delivery, PMO, and Architecture to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure networking services including VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute (with/without BGP), Azure Firewall, and third-party NVAs (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortigate).
- Deep understanding of network routing, segmentation, and route redistribution in hybrid environments.
- Proficiency with load balancing technologies (Azure Load Balancer, App Gateway, Traffic Manager, Front Door) and DNS services (Azure DNS, Infoblox, WinDNS, Private DNS zones, Private DNS Resolver) or familiarity with other load balancing solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Azure monitoring and management tools including Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.
- Familiarity with carrier circuits (MPLS, VPLS, point-to-point) and SD-WAN technologies (Cisco, Meraki, Viptela, VMware/Velocloud).
- Some proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep or Terraform.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and influence stakeholders.
- AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate certification required.
- AZ-700: Azure Network Engineer Associate certification required.

Azure Network Engineer The Azure Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable, secure network and cloud infrastructure solutions across hybrid environments. This role brings deep technical expertise, industry knowledge, and best practices to deliver reliable and cost-effective infrastructure that supports business growth and hosted/SaaS platforms. This position works closely with internal teams, vendors, and industry partners to stay current with emerging technologies and continuously improve infrastructure capabilities. The engineer serves as a subject matter expert for Azure networking, cloud hosting, and cybersecurity, ensuring solutions are aligned with organizational standards and security frameworks. The role owns, plans, executes, and documents multiple concurrent technical initiatives, including cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, and network optimization efforts.
