Department OverviewThe Video Embedded Software Engineering Team at Motorola Solutions (MSI) delivers firmware for embedded devices such as in-car video systems, fixed video and body worn cameras. Working in close collaboration with other departments, engineers in this team excel at developing applications and drivers under Linux, and have a variety of backgrounds and specializations. The team uses modern C++ to develop highly reusable code, and utilize state-of-the-art systems and tools throughout the development life cycle. Job DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team to deliver embedded devices such as in-car video systems, fixed video and body worn cameras. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions. This internship is designed to provide you with valuable industry experience, enhance your technical skills, and give you a deeper understanding of the software development lifecycle. You will be involved in various stages of software development, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment. Responsibilities: - Implement Security Camera Web interface to access and configure the IP Camera. - Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications. - Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze requirements. - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. - Debug and troubleshoot software issues. - Contribute to the development of technical documentation. - Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning. - Work on assigned tasks and projects under the guidance of senior engineers. - Develop and execute test cases to ensure software quality. Basic Requirements - Currently pursuing a degree/Master degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering. - Strong understanding of programming languages such as C, C++, Rust will be a plus - Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to work independently and take initiative. - Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. - Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies. - Experience with version control systems like Git will be a plus - Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Passion for technology and software development. - Available for a minimum 4-month internship #LI-MK2 Travel RequirementsNone Relocation ProvidedNone Position TypeIntern Referral Payment PlanNoEEO Statement Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
