Job Description

Senior Infrastructure Engineer

MLabs

Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Blockchain Wallet Backbone Location: Remote - United States Compensation: $180K - $300K Join a stellar team of leaders and experts in blockchain technology, cryptography, and security. Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, operate, and scale systems at the intersection of blockchain, cybersecurity, and distributed infrastructure, preparing them to meet the demands of a trillion-dollar industry. This role goes beyond maintenance—you will be an architect, automator, and security expert. You will embed best-in-class DevOps and SRE practices into their workflows, ensuring their services are highly reliable, secure, and cost-efficient. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and security to translate complex requirements into scalable infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Infrastructure Architecture: Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure with a core focus on scalability and security. - Automation & SRE: Architect and operate containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes), automating provisioning and deployments using Terraform, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines. - Security & Resilience: Configure and manage secure enclaves (e.g., AWS Nitro) to harden critical workflows and improve overall system resilience. - Observability: Implement and maintain robust observability with tools like Datadog across logs, metrics, and traces. - Optimization: Optimize performance and reliability of Node.js applications and backend services. - Strategy Alignment: Partner with product and security teams to align infrastructure decisions with the roadmap and risk strategy.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE experience in cloud-native systems.
  • Cloud Expertise: Strong expertise with AWS (Lambda, EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.). GCP is a plus.
  • IaC & CI/CD: Highly skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and advanced CI/CD automations.
  • Containerization: Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized microservices architecture.
  • Database Management: Experience administering and tuning SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Security: Solid understanding of infrastructure security and applied cryptography fundamentals.
  • Programming: Proficiency in scripting and systems programming (Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript).
  • Soft Skills: Clear communication skills, ability to operate under pressure, and make sound technical decisions.
  • Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Haves):
  • Experience with blockchain networks and smart contracts.
  • Familiarity with other secure infrastructure providers (e.g., IBM, Thales).

Benefits

  • Salary: Highly competitive base salary range of $180K–$300K per year (full-time).
  • Equity: Generous stock options (100–200) package vested over 4 years.
  • Core Benefits: Comprehensive Healthcare, 401K, and coverage for travel expenses.
  • Location: Remote-first role within the United States, with office options available.
  • Equipment: Provided with a MacBook Pro and essentials for a high-performance setup.
  • Due to the high volume of applications we anticipate, we regret that we are unable to provide individual feedback to all candidates. If you do not hear back from us within 4 weeks of your application, please assume that you have not been successful on this occasion.
